I started watching in '93, not long before Martella/Roach/Burnside all exited in fairly quick succession; so apart from snippets, this is my first exposure to the really early eps. How good was Galloway! It was really depressing when the Bill went full soap, was religiously watching the show up until the story-lines got too ridiculous and stopped actually solving crimes.
Every single character is complicated but likable. Except Debbie. Oh man do I hate Debbie.Watching season 5 of the US version of Shameless on Netflix.
Very good show. It doesn't get the hype of a lot of other shows, but it probably should do. Every single character is complicated but likable. That's rare.
On an unrelated note: likeable looks stupid without an 'e' after the 'k', whatever spellcheck tells me.

New House of Cards is on Netflix. For the record season 1-2 were great, season 3 was a bit meh
i'll second that, have really enjoyed the first 3 episodes. an 8 part mini series so it will end mid april.Watching 11.22.63 on Hulu ATM. Recommend, especially if you like Stephen King's suspense stuff.
Just came here to post the same, finished it off over the weekend. I thought Spacey's monologues were less frequent/not as epic but still much improved on season 3New season is great. Has the same pace the first season and a half had before it dropped off.
Finally got around to watching Broadchurch and thought it was superb. Works so well as a self contained story, not sure I want to watch season 2.
4 was the only really poor season in my book, quite liked 5; 6 had some really good episodes too.Re-watching Community on Canadian Netflix.
Obviously it's well recorded that things went off the rails for seasons 4 and 5 but geezus the first 3 seasons hold up brilliantly well 5 years on.
Season 2 (and the last third of season 1) hits a level of absolute excellence that very, very few sitcoms reach.
