The Wire.

Only just watched it this year. Loved it.

Watching Bosch now. Also quite enjoyable.

I couldn’t get past S1Ep 3 of the Wire in Lockdown

My mental health was saved with Bosch and Curb your Enthusiasm

Binged them both. I owe them

Breaking Bad. Borrowed season 1 from a friend and went and bought the rest.

I had several seasons on dvd, only attempted to watch season 1 (made it to the point of ripping it to a hard drive, never got around to it). Jump forward 15+ years later... the complete series bluray was cheap. Purchased and loved it when I watched it.

Toward the end of my bviewing I purchased Better Call Saul... didn’t immediately watch it back to back after BB.... but once I did start watching WOW!

The Leftovers. Saw it years after it aired. Not generally a fan of this genre but it got me hooked and I binged all three seasons.

Now watching Humans, a Westworld-type show with AI robots engineered to be domestic servants and sex workers. It was made between 2015 and 2018 but I’d never heard of it. Pretty good.

That first season of Westworld was 10/10

The rest is train wreck of tears

That’s a shame.

Curb your Enthusiasm is most definitely on my watch-list.

You have a great sense of humour mate. You will love it! Fantastic stuff.

I did Soprano’s and The Wire last year.
Must admit, I didn’t finish either. They were great, but I think all the hype around them left me a little underwhelmed. Made it through about three seasons of both, then dropped off.
Don’t get me wrong, great shows, I just didn’t get addicted like I have with the other big ones that I watched when they came out. (BB, BCS, Game of Thrones).

I think it’s sort of easy to get distracted if you’re not waiting on the next episode and having those discussions around the water cooler.

The worst is when you discover a show late, you start watching it, you start looking into it... and then you learn that it was cancelled.

Going back nearly 20 years now I remember really, really loving a show called "Dead Like Me". It was really funny, dark and clever. I binged the first series after discovering it in a house mates collection, went to buy the rest of them... and learned that there was a second series that was panned by everyone, and then it was cancelled.

A real rapid chocolates to boiled lollies decline :(

Yeah it absolutely can be difficult when shows are hyped up by all and sundry. You go in with huge expectations and are expecting to be wowed from the get-go.

I would suggest to try both again at a later date, if you can. I was late to The Wire and couldn’t get enough of it. Sopranos is on another level for me. Will watch again soon.

Understandable.

I’m the opposite though.

If it’s there in its entirety then all the better for mine.
