Hard to tell today, he's hardly an orphan.

The Warriors are intent on taking Arthur down. One internationally recognized coach isn't enough for them, they broke Moody, now they have Arthur in their sights.

Sabotaging himself really. Wasn't he coaching South Africa during Mick Lewis' infamous 0/113? You'd think he'd know better.

That being said, Lewis did manage three wickets tonight, and produced better stuff than the absolute tripe Sajid served up.

Hard to believe Tassie have finished bottom of the table in the last 2 seasons in the BigBash.

Yes and no.

The batting was atrocious last year save for Paine. Cossie and ten Doeschte improves the batting line up a lot.

As I said on the team thread we've got Geeves and Hilfy to potentially come back and with Cowan and Butterworth on the sidelines the squad goes to 15 this year while last year we had the likes of Rogers and Doolan in the side.

Quite happy to have got on at the $6 for the title, but not getting carried away given the opposition.

That's true. Still the bowling lineup is very good. The two spinners work a treat.

Will be extremely competitive up the top of the table this season and it wouldn't surprise me to see Tassie in the running. Wouldn't want to loose Paine though if he was called up for an ODI or two.

Arthur doesn't do the selecting and buying in of players, does he?

Who on earth thought it was a good idea to bring out Mahmood as an import, what is going on at the WACA?

Another pretty spineless performance. Undisciplined with the ball, pathetic with the bat, Pomersbach, Ronchi are just walkign wickets and have been it seems for years. Also Aaron Heal was the best spin bowler in this comp last year and was even been talked about as a possible player to go the T20 WC earlier this year - who cares if the boundary was short.

Anyone else doing the Fox Sports Fantasy game notice that Tom Beaton's score is wrong....they gave him 12 bonus points for strike rate, when he should have got a 100% bonus, which would be 16 points. Meaning a total of 54 instead of 58.

It's only 4 points, but every point counts. Hope they fix that.

Surely he'd have some say/suggestions to make as to who they should bring in as well as the selected side?

It was their own fault for making the boundary short too. The pitch placement was half way over to one side!

15000 crowd is considered a good number b/c of the hot weather and game being on a Thursday?

The WACA only holds 24,500, and a fair bit of that would be standing room, so it's not too bad a crowd IMO.

We lost this game before it started, at the selection table.

Heal is one of the best T20 bowlers in the country, first picked in the team, and he doesn't get a gig? FAIL.

Michael Swart in the team ahead of Liam Davis? FAIL.

Vage Mahmood as an import? FAIL.

Western Warriors are the epitomy of fail.

It's just more of the same. I feel like it doesn't matter who they pick, they'll play one good match in 5 or 6. The team in short formats is dependent upon Shaun Marsh firing up top. That's when they seem to be most competitive.

They've fixed it. :)

They've fixed it. :)

Yeah, I sent them a message and it was fixed the next day. Good work from the Fox Fantasy people.

Beaton wasn't the only one affected, it was anyone with a strike rate in the 140-165 range, they were getting a 75% bonus instead of a 100% bonus.

Unfortunately it's not going to help me much.
