As a neutral supporter today I saw 2 great champions of the game:

Shane Crawford - Most people I know were supporting the Hawks for this man, same as they would of if the saints had made it due to Harvey.
I thought he was very stiff not to win the Norm Smith, thought he was brillant today.

Gary Ablett Jnr - He played a brillant game but his efforts afterwards in the way he went to all the Hawks players and congratulated them is a credit to himself.

So two great seasons (Brownlow Medal) mean he is just a good ordinary player?

You can't rate a player by how he plays in his retiring years. Otherwise everyone would end up ordinary.
