Maybe if more people showed greater respect to umpires instead of calling them "fluoro odd balls", there'd be more of their number to ensure the VAFA requirements are met AS WELL AS superior umpires getting the rare opportunity to officiate on the hallowed turf in front of AFL royalty.

And after what happened in the junior final at Hoppers Crossing yesterday, even more so.

I appreciate the point you make & don't disagree with the sentiment. However there are some umpires with 'wiring issues' that means they are a bit oddball; or even worse, best described as Richard Cranium's.
Which is a pity given how many decent people do it.

So you expect umpires to be different to players or do want all dickhead players outed

They have been up for hours?

Anyway, if you are looking cos you want to know if you need club goal and boundary umpires, you can click on each match on the fixtures page and it shows what umpires are appointed to each individual game. There I imagine from Wednesday night but definitely up by Thursday each week

They weren't up, went to the umps page.

Well well well... So our overlords have made some changes and yep again they look after those fluro odd balls with another one of that lot getting the call up to the higher office, how will this one go? Does anyone know if he is a good bloke ? Does he know his stuff? I read that he has umpired every big game in the VAFA for the past couple of years, not sure that makes him any good because ive seen plenty of footy and all umps have issues... lets hope this bloke does well (god knows HQ need good people) good luck to him and hopefully that Goodem bloke looks after him and takes him inder his wing

Bring on 2018 my lot are having record numbers on the track and look unbeatable in 2018 so to everyone else in my lots comp.. Bad luck 2018 is our year, we cant loose.
