Anyone else get pissed off we never seem to get a holding the ball free in our forward line, but how many times do we land a tackle in our defense, ball miraculously spills out and the oppo goals. it drives me insane
Can't find a more updated one, so this is a few games out of date but - The 2023 Goals From Free Kicks Ladder - Round 14

12 goals from free kicks, while the leader (Bulldogs) have 33......

0.85 goals per game compared to 2.35. That is a giant difference.

In the car this arvo, heard Razor talk about the Sicily decisions. Jack should have got a free AND Sicily dives so shouldn't have got a free.
They will be looking for push in the backs this week (AFL is such a joke of a sport that we can have a focus on one rule LOL)
So watch Friday night be a free kick fest and by Sunday afternoon all be forgotten about when May manhandles Riewoldt.

Now now, the AFL don’t have the rule of the week. ;)

HAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa the only time the AFL rules are correctly applied is in retrospect....never actively!
Razor can mouth off as much as he likes...cos he was/is part of the non-free cabal agin RFC!

Just those 2 were wrong....lol. what about the other blatant holding frees? There was the one he actually grabbed his jumper with 2 hands and slung Jack out of the way.

Another four weeks have trickled by and here we are with the next instalment of the Free Kick Ladder.

You just can’t avoid the constant questioning and forensic investigation undertaken by supporters of clubs who are on the wrong side of the match officials.

fmd blooze getting sucked off and not entrenched in the 8, if we had that kind of treatment from the umps we'd be in the top 4

Bastards stole my idea. I did this for the entire 2021 season. Carlton and Bulldogs were way ahead (Carlton in 2021 kicked 25% of all their goals directly from free kicks).

Haven't done it for any season since because it's a lot of work without access to champion data.

Charlie Curnow is the most looked after player in the game by a mile. 3 very soft frees in front of goal again, to go along with 5 total for the match. He now has 34 frees for total for the season.

In comparison, Riewoldt has received 11 for the season. So not only has Curnow received more than triple what Jack has, he received almost 50% of Jack’s entire season total in 1 game.

They’re umpire completely differently and have been for years.

And this isn’t just a Riewoldt thing. Lynch also gets shafted when he’s on the field.

Just listen to this. What a crock of shite. Last touch coming just faaaarkn do it already and stop trying to manage the fans. AFL has destroyed this game.

Serious question why do we have someone, that has never been an umpire become their boss? last touch no thanks just another change of many they want.

It’s coming mate. AFL is that cynical they they are conditioning the fans to it.

It’s hilarious we were the best side keeping the pill in play for four years, they change the rules and now they’re changing the rules again. This is such a clown run comp no other professional sport’s association would do this

I can't believe how many bounces have landed Gawn side and the haven't been recalled. Hopper's 50 and the stand rule being called when it hasn't been for six weeks is bullshit
Stand rule is just there to manage results not to be applied every time
