Certainly won't see him this year or nextI also didn't count Bytel in the 15 because I just don't think they will see him this year.

Just interesting that they haven't finished on top in the last few years. But have won flags later in the year once pegs players are back.
I hear that a lot of the boys that left are the ones that helped get them to the finals, then the pegs boys come back and they get dropped. They are just sick of it happening.Well they certainly helped in the 80 point gf margin. To be honest I think Abers were still finding ways to win without them. Still plenty of guns in the list. They just not be as far in front of the pack and have to really work to win it this year.

theHanna, Hickmont, Bytel and Dench playing at Calder which means a far weaker side during Home and Away games for 2017 than they had in 2016.
If they can finish fairly high on ladder at seasons end then team should be strong enough to win finals.
Yeah that happens. But I'm always of the viewpoint they paid their registrations like any other player... And they were playing higher levels of footy. IMO you should always reward someone playing a higher level. Where players go wrong is they have a negative mindset when these players come back... what they should do is see it as an opportunity that they got to play in the ones and develop in a higher level. They wouldn't have had that opportunity if the pegs boys played all year. But I can understand disappointment and wanting to go elsewhere.[/QUOTE
The boys want the premiership medallion. If they don't make the final team they don't count themselves as premiership players. Being part of the team is just not enough. I do see your point of view.

I don't think you are on the inside at Abers with those comments. Hickmott and Dench are certainly not at Calder.
Lachy Brown, Hanna, Bytel, as well as Ben Smokrovic at JetsYou'd be correct Passionateman. Not on the inside at Abers. I was sure their were four Aber kids at Calder, I must have their names wrong.
Either way, they will be there abouts at seasons end

And so they should. It happened a few years ago there as well. Had Div2 boys that didn't want to play in premier division side.Trouble at Strathmore where they cant get a full under 19's div 1 team. Apparently they have a full div 2 team and none of those guys want to play in the div 1 team. Those players have now been threatened with a 4 week ban if they get selected in the top side and refuse to play.

Looks as though Greenvale have forfeited for tomorrow's round 1 clash with abers already.
Abers posted a team of 14 players for the game. Only 5 premiership players from last year in it.
22 players for Abers Saturday, inlcuding 10 premiership players.
Bit of a new look side, but still heaps of depth in it. Dench, Stone and Hickmott are not playing either. So they could come back in later on. If they make finals I think they could have 16 possible premiership players from last years squad.
Abers just have the psychological edge over kelior , Douttas would definitely be the ones to watch this year however5 goal win to Abers over Keilor.
A tale of 2 halves... Keilor missed a lot of shots in the first half to only be 2 goals up at half time.
Abers absolutely dominated them in the second half after being scratchy in the first.
On that result can only get better...

Douttas adding condo is huge and if they can get Brooke's back with toa they are every chance, would imagine marby would be fighting to make the 4, not many big names for themHow does that even make sense? Keilor accounted for Douttas the week before and Abers beat Keilor. I don't agree with your logic. I think Marby are the movers this year, not Douttas.
Douttas had 16 fit players at half time against Keilor, so not sure you can take that game as to where they are at. Not sure they will get Brookes back given his form even though he is playing in defence for cannons. How does that even make sense? Keilor accounted for Douttas the week before and Abers beat Keilor.
