couldnt agree more.

out of couriosity who are the better players from each club?
and what positions do these players play.

Camberwells would be Hart and sean barry with a close third going to huddo.
all play through the midfield and are ball winners.

thanks

Banyule show strength all around the ground with particular mention going to newcomers Rhys Mitchell and Bart Walsh and Cameron McDonald who hold up the backline but also give run and drive through the midfield on the rebound. very tidy team who are going to shake things up a bit this year. Serious contenders.

Don't know anything about OEG. But knowing a little about OT, I would have to say that their best players are Humman, Morrison (Old camberwell last year) closely followed by Beaton.

Humman and Beaton are very good players indead. Both strong boys who are very well equpied in the ariel stakes. If you can keep them quiet all day, it will be a massive step toward knocking over the T's.

Also, Greer from Old Ivanhoe is a gun! Exceptional leap in the ruck, and sits on peoples' heads for fun when he wants to entertain the crowd. Best ruckman in the comp i would suggest (havn't seen too many others, however i look forward to be proven wrong. But white is rarely wrong)

Alright alright, a new thread. not too hard to pick the winners this week i feel. after last week's dismal performance by Carey and a few other easy wins the good teams are becoming clear. This week it will mostly the home sides getting up.

Camberwell is going to account for Mannigham to get their first win on the board.
Banyule will be tested to an extent for the first time but should demolish a mongrel Bulleen side.
Ivanhoe will just slaughter a Carey side that appears somewhat lacklustre.
Paradians and Fitzroy Reds will fight out a close one but you can't see Parade beating them just yet.
Trinity will just get up over an Essendon side that will be hoping to get two on the trot after beating camberwell last week.
There are my tips so lets see how they go. also, better players from bulleen, essendon??? all the best lads. bw2.

Watch for Mitchell from Camberwell, big tall kid with hands of gold, best on ground for Camberwell in the 1st two weeks.

Bout time this division got it's own bloody thread! Went and watched OLD ESSENDON vs OLD TRINITY today at the luscious Marles playing fields! Cracker of a game. Trinity dominated in the 1st quater but were unable to hurt on the score board. 2nd quater, Trinity switched off a tad i thought and Essendon kicked 3-4 goals in the first 10 minutes. 2nd half was all Trinity!!! Dominated every position on the field. Trinity's use of the football was far better than Essendons all day. Spotted up targets left right and centre and ran hard all day. Few individual I thought stood out.

Matthew Jessop - tough on baller, needs to shed a few but I remember him as a dominating player for them last year. Kicked a bag and was always dangerous. Skills could be a tad better but killed them in the middle and up forward. A very good player for them, in and under and also a good link up player. Future teams will need to watch him in the future games as he flies under the old radar!

Dayne Coulsen-Hoffacker - have spoken about this kid for some time. Last years B&F winner in the 19's, played first 2 games in the seniors and had a run in the unders today. Completely dominated all day. No one went to him which absolutely baffles the brain! Was able to run free all day, just can't do that to a player like this. Excellent skills, spotted targets left right and centre. Strong overhead, kicked 2 ripper goals. Super fast and an excellent mover, smart player. Has the ability to break packs and is a game breaker. THE PLAYER TO WATCH FOR OLD TRINITY WHEN HE PLAYS!

Other excellent players were Humannn (as usual), Guerra, Howell (blonde kid down back) and Lane (the smoother mover)

All up an excellent game of football. Am a massive fan of Trinity this year. Massive improvement from last year with 2nd year players stepping up as well. My tip for the flag this year.

like ive been stating. and now it can be backed up by a good win.
OT are the REAL DEAL!

OEG are far from a bad side. but if they are too contend for finals, they are going to have to match it with better teams.
although, OEG had a few top players missing, they dropped off. and when you drop off against a good team all is let loose.

also, Banyule recorded a good win against B/T. anyone with some inside news on that game?

After 3 rounds its already looking like a race for 4th, with 1st-3rd settled (but not the order). OT, OI and Banyule undefeated, 2 games and a whopping 140% ahead of OC in 4th.
Going to make Round 6, 8 and 9 huge rounds when dealing with sorting out the pointy end of the ladder

all tips correct for the benchwarmer this week...probably not a hard week to get them all right but i'll take it...you're welcome.
does look like OT is the real deal now but no good games for a few weeks until we get to see the top sides take eachother on. any thoughts on who is likely to challenge to the top 3 at the moment? any sides in the next tier who are missing gun players but likely to regain them later in the year??? bw2.

Good luck stopping Greer this year. The the Dean Cox of this comp (who kicks 4 a game), shame Ivanhoes seniors are in A grade with 2 of the best rucks in the comp otherwise this kid would be a certain starter in the 1s, which he would at almost every other club you'd imagine.

haha, big call there buddy. too bad ivanhoe haven't played a quality side yet. hold your big calls till they've played a team of better standards. not having a go, cos when they (and greer) perform i'll be the first to give them (and greer) props. look forward to seeing him play. bw2.

hey there,

just wondering who was best on for banyule?

they are looking to be the next best after ivanhoe
and trinity and looking at the fixture they should be
5-0 after the next two weeks. although rounds 6, 7
and 8 will be a challange as they play the 3 best
sides in the comp, ivanhoe, trinity and essendon and
then they will find tougher opposition and play trinity
and ivanhoe.

camberwell are still the only ones who i think can take it
upto these 4 sides, with the likes of s.barry, hart, huddo
among others who are yet to play there best footy...

yes i would say the ivanhoe ruckman is very good however old carey has the oakliegh ruckman who is currently injuried but will play a few games and greer will cop a pounding from him although the majority of the old carey side being beaten like last week from ivanhoe

Will Hart play, rumour is he is captain of school team and won't be available till late in the season

Can confirm Hart is captain of the school team. I imagine he would be available at some stage close to round 12. Not too sure how many games are played at school level
