Ahead twice only to concede equalisers twice. Ended the match with a back 4 of Partey, White, Kiwior and Lewis Skelly. In that respect, given the injuries and absences, a point here isn’t a bad result.
However over the balance of that second half, sitting deeply and ceding possession, can’t help but feel it didn’t need to be that way. No attempt on goal for 40 odd minutes that half.
Many players looked gassed. With Preston next in the league cup, good chance to give many a few a breather.

Seen it a few times now, and still puzzled why that was a foul by Kiwior at the end there. Just seemed to me he was able to get higher to win that duel.

Those “fouls” are always so bizarre. One time the player jumping and winning the header has fouled the other player, next time the player underneath tunnelled the one jumping, next time it’s a fair battle.
Personally, I don’t know how VVD didn’t get at least a yellow early on the game for his kick out at Kai or another Liverpool player kicking the ball away when we won a free kick.
