Vela was too easily pushed off the ball during his time at Arsenal. Seems the Spanish game suits him better. His numbers last season are very strong indeed but not sure what role we would have in mind for him.
Maybe put the ball in the net ?

Wenger played Vela as a winger when he was first with us so maybe he'll try again.

In an ideal world we'd take Vela and Remy AND another wide player/striker.

Crazy i know :eek:

I reckon Joel Campbell will get a bit of a look in too next season.

He had a falling out with them some years ago. Very strange. Used to captain them but now refuses to play. There were reports a few years ago that he's had confrontations with Wenger as well, appears to be a difficult player to manage.

Is anyone expecting anything different this season? Took Wenger years to finally make a move and win another trophy.
Expecting a lot of nothing once again, trophy or not I think I don't have much faith in him.
Fabregas going to Chelsea doesn't help, yeah I guess we didn't totally need him, but if we have the money I'm happy to get a world class back up (scratch back up, I'll say rotation option) for our inevitable injuries and of course money put towards strengthening the positions we need to strengthen.
Of course people will moan DM/ST/RB are the priorities and when we get a bunch of average/cheap/young players they'll either bitch we didn't get quality or argue we didn't have any quality to go for when Fabregas was begging Wenger to give him a bj.

bloody shame realy ! hate seeing him in blue, wenger is going to cop some crap for this i would think

Mind boggling stuff.

Wenger really better make some massive world class signings. And soon.

So much for all that 'he will return to Arsenal one day' crap.

Perhaps when he's 39 in another Silvestre-type coup.

trying to figure out what to do with the 3 arsenal kits with #4 on the back of them now, can never wear them again

Everyone needs to calm their shit down.

We didnt need him and the idea that we'd buy him just to stick him on the bench or rotate him is silly.

Let's see what happens before we start burning effigies in the streets again.

With:

- Walcott to return late in 2014 from an ACL injury;
- Cazorla inconsistent and quite poor at times last season;
- Ox struggling to string three consecutive games together without being injured;
- Wilshere continually injury prone and quite overrated;
- Rosicky the wrong side of 30 years of age and generally capable of playing say 25-30 games of a 55-60 game season;
- Ramsey and Ozil having both suffered considerable time out of the game last season;

How is it possible an EPL proven, world class midfielder in Cesc Fabregas is "not needed"?

Especially when he is better than our entire midfield group barring Ozil and arguably Ramsey (if he continues last season's form).

There must be something up Wenger's sleeve here.

Yep if AW doesn't pull something out of his hat this window he is facing a backlash similar to after the Villa game last year.
