Good lad haha. I was spent so just went home and took it easy. Waking up to us being premiers feels good lol.
Was 5 rows back from where Sheed took the kick.
Have now seen 12 Collingwood grand finals for 2 wins.
This loss was made slightly easier because you guys were better across the 4 quarters and in the 2 earlier matches.
Also, after the match, many Eagles' fans were crying with joy - which was moving. Several others reached out and shook my hand or offered nice words.
Simmo and Hurn made classy speeches. You guys had terrible injuries like us through the year and neither club whinged.
We were beaten by an impressive club of quality people. Kudos.

Did anyone see Slobbo Robbo in Herald Sun? Such a biased dick thinks Sheed goal should have been free kick to Maynard because Willie manhandled him. What about the ones we didn’t get. LOSER!!!!
Gov was as solid as a rock apparently he had internal bleeding and they weren’t even sure he could do the parade. He’s a hero.

The way he pointed at the sky when he got the medal makes you think it was the old man
The last 2 years have shown me and made me appreciate more its incredibly hard to make the GF, let alone win it, even when circumstances look in your favor, one bad moment or game can derail your season.
Honestly I'd be happy to contend again in 2019, would love to win it but statistically it just doesnt happen too often, winning games and finals still brings joy but you have to appreciate the flags because these are sometimes once in a lifetime moments for a lot of people. You never know if your club will be the next 30 year premiership drought, or fail to make the GF for that time, so its so important to take your chances and enjoy the moment. I think that's why some Tigers have over enjoyed the last 2 years. 30+ years without making FINALS or winning them is hard enough, especially copping 30 years of heckle from other fans.
For some people 1 flag is all they will enjoy in their lifetime. Enjoy the summer and the tag of reigning premiers, you never know how long it will last or when it will next come around!
When do we get those little afl premiership badges on our bigfooty profiles, that and next years gold afl logos on the playing top is what I'm most looking forward to!

It was great watching the reactions of the players.
Kennedy, Lecras, Shoey and Hurn were pretty subdued in their celebrations. Being older players they were heppy and relieved of the win - webt thrrough most of their careers without the ultimate success not its achieved.
The young guys like venners, rioli and ryan just brash and going burs love the energy.
Middle aged guys like yeo, redden, darling and shuey - a mis between relief and hard celebrating.
Then there is Jetta - this persona of a laconic player with natual talent. But of a joker but that interview he gave where he was in tears - says it all.
Masto sobbing and wiping tears off his face walking back from the dias with a medal wrapped around his neck really pulled the heart strings.

Barrass was massive. Absolutely phenomenal in that first half in particular. Shuey Beast. Sheed - worked hard all day. And that goal. I mean wow. Just wow. Gov, JD in the third, Hurn (apart from a few errant kicks) was immense. The list goes on. Just seeing a bit of the replays in the pubs, what you don't get a sense of from high up in the stands is the sheer physical intent at every contest. It was mental the way both teams were throwing themselves at the ball and each other.
I've completely lost my voice, some f*****t is doing some jackhammering in my head this morning and it could not be more glorious.
I love this bloody club. Love our supporters and love this board. I love you all.
Best thing was I manage to jag a ticket for my daughter at the last minute and we got to experience that together. It was f****** amazing. Truly an amazing experience. I know it'll be something she reflects on one day and will make her smile, watching her old man go mental and brought to tears of joy watching his beloved Eagles. Little shit got some sneaky video of me going off. Pretty funny actually.
Pies fans have been all class, all been gracious in defeat and so have our supporters. Really great vibe between the supporters. Has made for an epic weekend in Melbourne.
Can't wait to see the replay.
