To Eagles fans! I hope you celebrated in style!
I remember when Essendon won in 2000, we went to Crown and there was a VJay party, so they were playing a heap of 90s shoegaze/rock music near the sports bar on a big screen, the club itself had red and black across the signs and roof, it was mostly empty, but a heap of Essendon supporters still in their team colours, mostly 20s, early 30s, jumping a long and dancing un-self consciously to the music. Good times! Everyone felt as cool as it gets.

This was back before social media and when Melbourne was almost empty compared to these days.

It's great to win a premiership but it's even better to experience it with other fans using music and fun and drinking. Honestly, that's what it's about.

A lot of people are locked or stuck into their stressful jobs and stuck at home or can't make the effort to really celebrate, so kudos to those who can get the most out of the win with class! That's half of the fun of it.

I'm still wearing by jumper...its been washed...

I'll be wearing it for weeks...

I was about to ask the same thing. I have been watching their vids on very low volume since it would just be mostly partying sounds and guys shouting and singing and stuff.

Congrats Eagles too good on the day! The loss hurt like hell but was at the game and your supporters couldn’t have handled themselves better, so kudos for that. Umpires had nothing to do with the result, I was actually surprised we stayed ahead as long as we did after you outplayed us for the best part of 3 quarters. Was truly a great game though, I’ll never watch it again., but it had all the elements of one of the great grand finals. Congrats again, well and truly earned.

Good on you mate, I have to say that I am surprised by the good sportsmanship of many Collingwood supporters. Can't say I would have been so gracious if it had fallen the other way. I wasn't there, would love to have been, I watched it on TV. Was a great game but I can understand you not wanting to watch it again.
