This is the crux of it.

We did a deal no one else would, on the premise it would spare our second round and add Yeo to the list.

Now it seems, we have caved and will trade that second round anyway.

We have struggled to do anything with picks in the 20's, so why add pick 31 to the list.

Why risk missing the first round pick you want, on a far more speculative selection.

I am far more convinced we thought that Vozzo thought 31 would do it, Brisbane have refused to make the trade and in the end he has folded.

I just can't stomach the 5 pick downgrade, heck we couldn't even squeeze out pick 10. That we were so desperate to get it done, makes me think Vozzo was convinced pick 31 would yield us Yeo.

The "even spread" theory is bollox btw. No club would do the trade in reverse.

We should go back to Collingwood and offer them 11, 31 and 49 for 6 and White .... See what response we get

Yep, could've gotten a lot more out of pick 6 if we had just given Brisbane pick 28 at the start and put pick 6 on the market.

If we end up with Sheed from pick 11 and the Yeo deal is now done for 28, then I think we've done alright. If Sheed goes before 11, then we've screwed up our read of the whole thing.

If that was our target, why do the trade with Collingwood. We gave up 28 for Yeo and 6 would have guaranteed Sheed.
