Cheers man, how many did you guys have out?
Border Walwa recruits ? Travis Prater was a 2nds footballer from Thurgoona last year and Chris Cottie will only play 2nds up there and he sleeps with the light on..
We had sh#tloads out and I think Hickeys clearance is a permit and going by the grape vine he wont be back until finals.
Anyone from Walwa know how the poor guy who broke his leg is going? Being only a few metres from the incident (which was close to the grandstand too) it was pretty sickening, he was a tough bloody bloke too, with the way he handled himself. Unfortunately it is one of those things that happen in football, that we dont wish upon any opposition.

Got told today it was Jullian Ernest their ruckman and he aint in a good way.
Our seconds ruckman broke his ankle against Bullioh in the 2s the other week its hard on these guys as the impact it has on income, work and everyday living got to feel sorry for them.

An interesting round to say the least, a couple of things I think we've found out.
*Bullioh minus Tom Hickey makes for an average side. Feds have been soundly beaten by Cudgy and Corryong and almost pulled off the upset.
*Corryong are the best of the bottom bunch of sides. They'll make finals but won't be a show against the Blues or Dogs.
*Tumba are the definite flag favorites, the Roos are young, hungry and fit and the Blues dads army can't carry the load week in, week out if they expect to win the flag.

Haven't heard from the Dirty Wizard from Walwa lately. How did Corryong 2's beat your senior blokes at the weekend? Thought you blokes were spending enough to at least beat them
Given the info re: Bullioh, they have 5 days to spend big - should we run a book on how many?
Just got back from WA,things have really fallen apart up at B/W by the looks of things,not looking good at all,heard about young Julian Ernst on Sat.night,reminded me of similar thing this time last year.Looks like being a very different finish to the season than we are use to,any sort of luck THE SCUM wont make it or if they do they will get thier smelly pie eating arses smacked,I,m going for they dont make it.Haven't heard from the Dirty Wizard from Walwa lately. Looking in the clearances to see what Bullioh have brought but did notice Corryong 2nds player Thomas Saunders had submit a clearance to Federals on the 21st only to be denied, but he still managed to play for Corryong 2s on the 23rd?? WTF going on there???

Nothing too interesting, just a few ressies boys are wanting more game time. We have lost a few already (scott ronan, kaine Edwards etc) Unfortunately with six on the bench every weekend, and some people not playing every week, and then Owen trying to rotate 22 players through 16 spots on the field, he was looking for a full game at Feds ressies. Tom is another of those boys that just wants to play footy in any grade and as much as possible and doesnt care about flags etc. There are a few Corryong based players Feds have tried to get across such as Sam Nankervis and Todd Panach as well as Tom whom have stayed with us, I guess having too many numbers is a good problem to have, but not at the expense of the local boys who have stuck by the club. He wont be going anywhere though, especially this week, as there are 7 seniors (who played against b/w) and 4 ressies unavailable so hopefully those injured boys dont come back for Cudgy, otherwise it wont be pretty I am afraid.
F**k Feds they'll get nothing out of us, they can get off their own arses and recruit there own players and not pinch ours. Toddy and Sam are demons through and through and would never switch camps especially when we look like winning a flag. Our boys can go down and have a run in the hume or tallangatta league before we clear them over to that mob
demon ur senior side is pushing to play finals for the first time in a while and u guys are still talking bout 2nds glory...ill say now u will only look like winning a 2nds flag when u guys make it to grand final day first and are in front by a point with 1 second to go, until then u should be putting all ur players and time into lifting ur senior side into the top 4 and getting some respect back from the comp. Corryongs seconds are the most talked bout seconds side in history and still havent done anything good to talk about. Finals time are different and with cudgy having up to 10 blokes to fit into there senior side and bullioh yet to finish spending money it means for 2 other sides with alot of good players to drop back come finals and once again for some heartbroken demons. Couldnt have said it better Wog (in regards to the seconds) I will disagree with you on one point though, Feds. Would we let them take 4 or 5 of our ressies just because it seems fair? I think not. They would never help any other team out, and from memory when we were down and corryong struggling, they were they ones laying the boot in the hardest.
How much can we read into the results on the weekend? Is Hickey really that good a player, that if he is missing anyone can get close to Bullioh? Can we take much from the result of the Cudgy/Tumba match with up to ten players missing from both teams, and will Corryong scrape into the top 4 or will Feds or Walwa as many of us predict, beat them in Round 13 and 15 to effectively end there year.

If you can't get a game for Corryong 2's what chance have you got of getting a game in the stronger district leagues. Pretty outdated thinking i'd say, it wasn't that long ago that Corryong (and Feds) were asking the clubs with excess numbers for a few spares to get a game up. Corryong will prob win the 2's flag and feds are winless so what would it matter if they sent a few over. Its not the 1970's, the clubs should be banding together to survive not trying to cut each others throats. They should grow up!
Time for the serious end of the year to get into full swing with finals on most peoples mind what a great weekend of games with close results across the board, Was at the Tumba Cudgi game to see what i thought was a messy game that was played in to halfs, Cudgi had the run of play for the most of the 1st half, as Tumba where out played and out classed all over the ground, it seemed that Cudgi where in total control but didnt put the tumba boys away,
As for the 2nd half molky must have given the boys a rocket as they came out where harder faster and more prepared to run to a contest and help there team mates out. What was most impressive with the game is the Tumba's back 6 did not concede a goal in the last half. I no Cudgi had 55 blokes missing and not evan close to there best side, but to not score a goal in 40mins of footy has to be a worry for the boys leading into the finals. with that said TUMBA VS CUDGI GF played at Tumba.
Biggest let down in 2012 would have to be B/W can not see them making the top 4 with a great list where do they go from hear??????????

Mate settle down really was just my veiw, ok your mob didn't have 55 out maybe 7 or 8.
So can you fill me in on how ya team was able to kick 7 goals in the 1st half and 0 in the 2nd half?? I was watching and the conditions didn't change all day it was could and wet from start to finish??? you really missed piltz he goes well
Also I'm a young woman that loves her footy so if you want to reply please don't be so rude,
I believe Tumba had a few missing as well really looking forward to the finals no doubt tumba and cudgi will lock horns again not sure who numba 2 is what did he do? I'm fairly sure he came to tumba from Wagga.

Great to see a heep of banter on this forum, had a good laugh reading. I have been a long time follower of the UM footy league interested in how this season will pan out as it looks to be more open race than ever. Who is everyones flag tips? Im backing bullioh, got plenty of players who always do good in big games
