You said stacked.

Are you?

You'd know surely.

Utter ****ing nonsense. Trump just won an election- and the popular vote-on the back of the working class and ethnic minorities.

Once again the Facts. Do. Not. Fit.

You clearly are a half wit incapabel of simple comprehension, The democtrats dished it out and then you parrotted their "the court is stacked against us" grievance. Learn a bit of history and educate yourself you poor simpleton.

Head. Explodes.
This isn't even coherent. Wake me up when you're capable of spelling the word 'democrats' and 'incapable' correctly, let along acknowledging what the word 'majority' means in practical terms.

Never underestimate the power of individuals to vote against their own self interest.

It's interesting all ready seeing Latino voters that moved decisively towards Trump acknowledging they have illegal immigrant family members in the US, but they believe they won't be impacted by any deportation.

I think a fair few people will be shocked by what the future holds.
What I heard plenty of Latino who immigrated legally which is long and difficult process have disdain towards those who arrived illegally as they essentially jumped the queue

There are similar scenes in every state I believe.

Rent prices and availability are the cause of much homelessness.

Addiction and mental health cause the rest.

There isn't much evidence against this.
And you will find similar scenes in Australian cities. I live in Hobart and see similar scenes in and around the city. And social workers tell us what we see is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to homelessness.

Dude Donald Trump is part of the establishment.

And has been for a very long time.

Turning housing into an investment has been disastrous for the western world.

America is actually pretty awesome.
So long as you don't got to a place run by democrats like san Francisco
So which cities in the US run by republicans have you visited and would recommend?

Because the simple fact is that the vast majority of the largest cities of the US are run by Democrats.
Heading into 2024, 76% of the population of the top 100 cities lived in cities with Democratic mayors, and 16% lived in cities with Republican mayors.

The sad fact is that the lack of universal health care and a lack of decent social security support and public hosung impacts on large cities and their residents disproportionately and the US electoral college voting system means that there is almost never the congress majority to implement the changes in national programs and policies to resolve these problems.

Issues of homelessness are necessarily complex and the failure to address them is a tragedy in many big cities across the world. And not helped by idiots posting snapshots of homeless people to make a cheap and wrong binary political point on an Australian footy forum.

I bet she doesn't even organise rioters to show up in January.

she couldn't even stomach an appearance to her supporters who waited all night for her. zero backbone.

no ones rioting for her!

A massive falsehood exists that China is like 10x cheaper or 2x cheaper. Its not always the case

Ive done some work in importing stuff from China for a few places where the price to import from China is more expensive then making it locally (shipping costs) but because of the inability to source enough of the product locally (no manufacturing here) you go to China instead to get it to get the required stock.

Clothing is a good example of that. Medical supplies another example too. Main issue comes with technology. That is something even Biden admitted and was actually doing some good work in turning the tide against. Both Biden/Trump shared the same philsophies on this so suspect the crunch against the Chinese tech manufcaturing will just continue as is

It's the cost of producing that product which is the key.
Businesses are essentially out to make money.
That means cost in terms of seeking out low cost materials and workers.
If they can do it cheaper elsewhere and keep the price relatively the same they will make more money.

Look at the average wage for manufacturing for countries like China, America and Australia.

Weird how that shite hung around for his whole 2016/2020 tenure and beyond.

He'll fix it this time guys!!! Something about him being well into his seventies makes me think he'll really get things done.

dont agree.

Even CNN commentators are saying Trump ran with policies and Harris didn't.

if CNN are telling you that, then its grim.
We take CNN seriously now? So hard to keep up.

Which commentators just out of interest, give some names so I know to disregard anything these people might say in future lol. Policies aren't the reason Trump won, Trump didn't even have any bedsides "tariffs", the rest are just thought bubbles and the usual grievance shtick. A worse take I can barely imagine :drunk:

I'm sure there will be a mix of both.

I really don't know what will come out of the analysis, i think it's clear that there will be a range of factors that lead to this result, some coherent, others not so.

In his victory speech, trump did the classic side look (ie lieing) when restating the mass deportations. Clearly a lie or there will be token high profile cases

But how did l they actually get in if he ‘built a wall’ clearly another lie?
Corperations in America need the illegal immigrants to push down wages and do work.

There will be a few high profile cases bur things will remain mostly the same.
