The republican's entire strategy this side of George W's presidency has been to use a combination of gerrymander and voter suppression to turn swinging elections into safety for them. It's how you get ghouls like Mitch McConnell never even losing an election, despite barely ever even campaigning.

McConnell masterminded the refusal to even discuss Obama's SC nominee, allowing them to achieve a majority in the SC and overturn Roe. We already have a clear example of republicans willing to play the long game to achieve an end goal.

Harris had 1 interview with Fox which she bombed. Trump also had an interview with the same guy who also pressed him. Trump did many press conferences, many podcasts, many interviews and not only with friendly groups and was constantly on the road and almost killed. When he was attacked he pushed back. Harris was hardly seen attempting the Biden basement strategy. She even took a day off to get ready for a single interview. You are right though, Trump is held to a different standard. She went from the worst VP in the history of the USA to the favourite candidate in a blink of an eye.

The interest in the USA for me now is at the next election because theres no chance the Dems put up Harris again, so we will see a primary with 5 or 6 candidates, and who runs for the Republicans because while others have mentioned Vance and Vivek you don't think the guys who ran in the 2016 primaries are going to just sit back and let them have a free run at it? No chance Cruz doesn't fancy himself.

Sadly for most of us who don't live in the USA this is like when the TV show you like goes on hiatus for a few years between seasons. Gotta now wait 3 years for it to get interesting again unless Trump kicks the bucket.
