I’m having this same conundrum with my group of 10 or so close friends. Half are now Trump supporters. Early days there were a few arguments because I was in disbelief with some of their views but now I actively avoid any political conversation.

I consider myself a centrist and want politics to be able uniting people and working towards a common good and not the disgusting rhetoric that it’s become.

These are normal people who I otherwise have no issue with but knowing their political views and stances, I just look at these people differently these days. It’s not as simple as just cutting people off.

It is to a degree. Like all things in life people make choices and they have consequences. And sometimes that's the only way people learn and ethics matter. So I certainly will be cutting off any friends I had that voted for Trump and hopefully in America a lot of people will do the same. As much as I love my friends I'd rather set a good example for my kids.

Have to agree with this it’s over for her

Need a white guy. Newsom probably
I’m staggered with his constant talk of changing the term limits, his love and admiration or Putin and Kim Jong and the SCOTUS giving him full immunity that anyone thinks there will be a future election

Trump has even said many times in this election cycle that this will be the last election anyone has to vote in

A full faccist regime is on the horizon

I have already cut off a few friends yesterday that were posting Trump crap …just not worth having people in your life that clearly support hateful behaviour towards women and minorities

It’ll come back to bite them eventually

I worked and lived there. It’s built into the system

The worst thing is this guy is going to take it to another level.

The us has been a lynchpin for western hegemony for years. And then this dickhead gets voted back in. You can’t trust them anymore.

Firstly disinfectants were used in the reserach he was refering to. Second read the fact check.
We got years and years of this bullshit ahead of us with people trying to re write what Trump really meant

Yet every other candidate/president words are taken at full value

And no black is White PM your deranged nonsense won’t work I know what he said…I know what he meant…trying to play that angle that he’s taken out of context is simply spreading misinformation

It was the Latino vote that won it. Harris failed to shore up that base. It went up 50% for trump. And women vote went down for Harris as compared to trump.
Women and Latinos for trump .

Trump’s core constituency of mostly white, working-class voters in rural America showed up in force, winning him the critical battlegrounds of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia. He also picked up Iowa – three days after one of the nation’s most respected polls found him trailing Harris by three points.

Why do people keep pushing lies that can easily be fact-checked?

this is the entire problem with politics generally, but America is the extreme case in first world countries.

People need to respect that other people want different things and have different preferences.

If you cut people off you disagree with; you just end up in an echo chamber.

Wasn’t a shock. White uneducated voters do what they do

Let’s be honest the republicans have planned this out for the last 40 years with the take over of smaller elections and working towards stacking the courts and SCOTUS…project 2025 outlines exactly what is coming up and people still ignored that and didn’t care

The further erosion of women’s and other groups rights will come …mostly interracial marriages and conception rights …then the term limits will be changed

I want to be optimistic but reading Project 2025 and listening to Trump the last few years and you know what’s coming up for America over the next few years

READ THE FACT CHECK.

Our ruling

Biden said Trump said drinking bleach could help fight the coronavirus. Trump did not specifically recommend ingesting disinfectants, but he did express interest in exploring whether disinfectants could be applied to the site of a coronavirus infection inside the body, such as the lungs. We rate Biden’s claim Mostly False.

If facts don' fit your chosen Trump narrative that doesn'tallow yuo to to lie about them.

The celebs they rolled out must feel pretty helpless. Guys like Charlie Kirk were a far bigger asset than Cardi B (whoever the hell that is)

I like doja cat and beyonce to be honest

Never heard of Charlie Kirk. What does she sing?

Here's an article on how the tarrfis were Going to work and the concerns they had about it but was met welcomingly by the Australian prime Minister.

The tarrfis ended up working well and with a bit of nuance can be very effective and great with allied trading.

Yeah there's nothing inherently good or bad about tariffs. They are just another lever that can be pulled to impact the economy.

It all comes down to how they are used and implemented.

These preemptive meltdowns are amusing.

Anyone that knows anything about the republican machine knows that they’ve been building this for years. State legislatures, governments etc.

The centre never imagined that the hard core right would take it over. It’s their own making. It’s what actually make me laugh when I hear those that opposed Clinton now shitting their pants on trump. You did this you dumb campaigners

Ironic really

Denying you loss and supporting the overthrow of democracy because you are facing charges for your illegal actions is like a toddler throwing a tantrum because he hit his sister and is getting sent to bed for the night

I hope you’re getting paid for posting this rubbish
A grade deflection right there.

Questioning a result is how democracy works especially when your winning pretty convincingly and then over night a bunch of ballets are found that like 80-95% voting one way with statistical anomalies involved. Trump received the most votes in history and lost to Biden who received more and evidently won the electorate by like 80k votes which is peanuts. Hillary questioned the vote it was all Russia's doing, Al Gore and many others have done the same. The whole facing charges point is a very scewed and biased politically motivated talking point. Go and look at the charges he faced and the past precedence for it, even some Trump hating democrats couldn't believe the witch hunt it's literally political prosecution. Yet you believe Trumps the one wanting to persecute his rivals and is anti democratic lol. It's called projection and you fell for it.

It’s kinda amazing when you realise that this was all very much spoken and dissected over the last few years ..espically the outrage about ROE…and yet there’s 15 million votes less than 2020

they have only themselves to blame for what’s coming sadly

We're going to cop it too. If it was just the Americans I couldn't care less but we'll all pay for this dickhead's dad telling him how disappointed in him he is.

That is a sad way to live your life. You do you though.
