I was directly saying that if there is a religion based in an old man raping a child, it's the one set up by the guy I couldn't draw a diagram of explaining what I mean without it being offensive.
Yahweh had some form of supernatural copulation with the young child better known as Mary, whom is only ever mentioned 3 times in the Bible, old man in the Sky supernaturally r*ped Mary, thought to be between 12-14 years of age.
Yeah, I assumed you were alluding to Muhammad and his young wife Aisha, I get where you’re going with this, it seems all 3 of the cults of Abraham are obsessed with young girls as sex slaves, objects, chattel, funnily enough, they all share the absolute hatred of the female birth canal and menstruation and its cycle, I don’t share their views as a matter of disgust!
Sheesh, even Buddha escaped the detestable woman’s birth canal by being birthed from a slit in his mother’s side.
Religious men hate women and their power to produce life, that’s why they want control over it, I don’t share their views and will fight against this wicked, evil, superstitious death cultish immorality.
Prepare for the right to attempt to make this an issue on Australian society!

Won’t be happening. Ask the neo nazis what happened to them in coburg a few years back. In Melbourne at least, the right will never get peace.

The Queensland Catholic premier only scraped in after the left ran ads about his non choice beliefs.
They will try it, it’s always inevitable with these pricks!

Elitism. Average American.

You’re venerating a billionaire. Ably supported by another billionaire, from apartheid money. With 3rd party support from another millionaire.

And when their healthcare and benefits go, their cult leader will point at the usual targets. And they will believe him. Because the average white American male has proven themselves more unintelligent, emotional and racist than other demographics.

So when your party makes itself worse than said billionaire, one which I have never, nor will I ever, venerate, they need to be held accountable for the monster that they themselves have had a significant hand in creating. Yes he is a devil but it was the help from the Dems

As I said now is the time for introspection and planning for 2028 and beyond. Or don't.

Do his supporters genuinely think he'll bring down inflation?
Majority of Economists are in agreement with the effects of the proposed Tariff Policy :

Will add ~ $7.75 trillion to Govt Debt ( We are having Budget Surpluses - reducing Debt)
Will be inflationary - he has promised to reduce inflation
Will increase interest rates and home mortgage rates ( Trump will blame the Fed)
Will take ~1% off National GDP
Loss of up to 500,000 jobs

Hard to see it being a winner?

Yeah so the flawed domino theory of communism's spread through Southeast Asia is a completely irrelevant comparison to the specific case of an expansionist autocrat invading multiple neighbouring countries when he's already shown he is willing to do exactly that.
We're talking about Putin now, I assume?
Which "multiple neighbouring countries" are we talking about? Other than the single obvious one, of course.

I don't think it really matters whether or not Trump does manage to stop the war (in Ukraine, at least). Your use of the "appeasement" argument (I don't think you fully understand what you're talking about there) gives rise to the opinion that whatever he does, it won't be good enough for you - whether he ends it or not.

For sure, if it wasn’t for Jesus teaching our marsupial friends to be able to walk on water, how the hell would they have been able to get from the Middle East to Australia without drowning!
Thank you Jesus, ahhhhhhmen!
I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say, but whatever it is, you certainly seem very wound up about it.
You know, I was watching a couple of Obama's more evangelical videos just now... If you're looking for tips, check them out. He's significantly more polished than you.

I believe we're approaching that part of the thread where those who have to wipe the drool off their keyboards after posting begin to make their presence known, and the actual conversation beings to dry up.
Time for some fun, perhaps?

Honestly think there's a bit of overreaction going on with the average american/working class stuff. Yeah its valid, but not the main factor I reckon.

2 main issues imo - inflation/timing, which the Democrats could have done absolutely nothing more about, and Biden running in the first place/switching to Harris 3 months out, which the Democrats could obviously have handled better but didn't.

I'd like them to switch up their approach and messaging as much as anyone, but its totally conceivable they could change nothing much at all next time except run a proper primary, and get back in.
Harris had to distance herself from Biden but instead sold herself as more of the same/republican-lite.

Impossible to know if changing message would have been enough but it really was a weak campaign and a massive waste of genuine momentum and energy she came in with.

They won’t care. What they will care about is who to blame. Trump and his millionaires will rob the joint blind. And the ******* in the red hat is waiting on the signal to hurt people. He’ll lose his healthcare but it’s his racism that he holds dear.

The dems have been ordinary and haven’t done enough to fix things, but it’s rather a stretch to call them worse than trump. America is a total mess and it’s doubtful anyone can fix it. The dems didn’t find enough solutions and trump isn’t the answer. Good luck to them all. It’s a big mountain- but as you say- self -inflicted.

I'd like to think Australia is above this road, and that Dutton will never see power, but we haven't exactly had a great history of keeping the LNP out of power for long. They now have both murdoch and social media and plenty of time to spread their nonsense to angry gen x men.

Wait until they find out that Trump superficially addressing their grievances doesn't improve their lot in life one bit.
Calling people racist worked out well for the Dems also worked out well for the voice referendum when will you lefties ever learn.
I didn't call anyone a racist. Please try to comprehend.

Wait ...I thought we all agreed to vilify the boomers? Is that not a thing anymore?

On Republican lite, I really wonder how much the Cheney connection fed into Democrats not voting. The Bush Era neocons are toxic to pretty much everyone except for the incredibly wealthy people inside the Washington bubble, and the fact they want to endorse Democrats now shouldn't entice the Democrats to parade them out as some kind of victory lap (celebrating that they have the pariahs who were run out of the Republican party and who the Democrat base also hates under their 'big tent').

Say what you want about MAGA, but they took over the party with ease for a reason, and I don't understand why the Democrats come across as if they would love to have an endorsement from George W. Bush despite him being arguably a far worse President than Trump in terms of long-standing impact on the US and the world.

No I get your anger. I just think its aimed at the wrong targets. Your team didn't learn their lessons from 8 years ago and now its coming home to roost in a big way.

As I have said: Once is a mistake(2016). Twice or more is a trend(2024). Trump didn't do much to win so much as the Dems did it lose to themselves. The Dems played themselves, and lost. Lost to their ego, arrogance, elitism.

Its time now, to analyze what went so horribly wrong for the Democrats. And how to get back in touch with the average American. Or be lost forever. Your move.

Everyone always claims this after an election loss that the other party is doomed forever. Unless the more extreme elements of MAGA succeed into turning the elections into Russia style staged for show events, then it won’t be the end of the Dems.

Just as I thought Trump was going to kill the Republican Party (he kind of did but not in the way I was hoping), or that the Dems couldn’t win without new blood after Hilary (they win with Biden) or Trump was toast after Jan 6, we simply don’t know the future.

I think the answer this time is fairly simple, incumbents have been losing worldwide regardless of whether they are left or right the last year or so. They see prices have gone up after COVID and don’t care about any nuance for the reasons for it, they just punish those who are there now.

Basically that’s what happened in 2020, it was a FU to republicans with all the covid stuff and this time same thing happened to the Dems.

Reverse the parties in charge at each time and you probably see the result of either election reversed the other way.

So I think we can go into wokeism, identity politics, trans women in sport, immigration, racism, fascism, democracy, Jan 6 etc. it probably just comes down to economic issues which decided things for the non rusted on for either party, and the other culture war stuff is just noise to them.

I’d like a lot of the stuff which doesn’t matter to these people to matter, but it doesn’t. I think I gonna it incompressible that people didn’t think Jan 6 and fake electors etc was a disqualifying event, but put my hand up to admit I’m in a bubble and majority of people don’t give a shit, and it’s all about price of gas and eggs.

Ah nup, you’re projecting again, Jesus has no place in Australia.
Supernatural nonsense has no place in the public discourse.
America are about to find out how shit Jesus is at making America great again!

I think they ran a better campaign this time than 2020, A lot of it is timing I believe.

They’d have done a lot better if Biden was stepping down way earlier or announced he was at least a year out, to get a proper primary. Even then with the best candidate giving the best message to the working class, I doubt they could have won.

All in hindsight obviously.
