Far out Azarenka has been lights out. Lost 1 set all tournament so far. Pretty impressive, no idea where this came from.

I still feel Serena will be a mountain too high, tipping an Osaka v Williams final.

Zverev gets the relatively easier run into the final, the time is now for finally one of Thiem, Medvedev or Zverev to break through.

Sadly I don't think Demon beats Thiem today, Medvedev v Thiem should be a ripper.

Yeah you can't fault de Minaur's mindset and effort on court, but he just doesn't have the game to consistently push the crème de la crème. Still, a quarter final at a GS, even with a somewhat depleted field, is no small feat; he should be absolutely proud of his tournament.

De Minaur is going to be a Ferrer type player, against the top guys he will get spanked but he can beat anyone outside that top level, that's fine. He'll keep working, that's all you can expect.

Not sure about that, seems more similar to Simon imo. Ferrer would have won a few GSs if the big 4 weren't around, he was a fighter for sure, but his forehand was a decent weapon and his all-round game was pretty damn good. He was basically stuck in his own realm at no. 5 for a long time, beating everyone except the 4 players above him, and 3 of them are the 3 best to have ever played the sport.

only watched the Mertens match. For 6-1,6-0, it was more competitive than some 6-4,6-3 scorelines. Mertens had no answer to Azarenka, who played really really well. I don't think Mertens played badly, she was just outmatched.

Which shocks me is that Serena is fav tmw. No way. Serena has a lot of tennis in those legs and been dropping sets left, right and centre. She is 38, and no offence to Sakkari, she has not played anyone near the quality of what Azarenka is throwing down atm.

caught a little of the thiem match. Just too good. I don't know if I can watch Medvedev v Thiem. i want both to win.

Both should be very interesting. Do not write off Brady. She hasnt dropped a set this tournament or even been pushed to 5. She been very good all year. She would have had a run at the Aus Open, if she didn't run into Halep in the first match. Osaka has been very good in the last couple of games, but Brady is slightly different. should be one to watch

Have Vika at a huge price to win the whole thing, backed her pre tournament! Can't believe Williams is fav on form to be honest. Osaka should be $1.50 to win it though!
