I never understood why they picked Harris in the first place as the VP.

She was so unpopular even among Democrats that she withdrew before the Democrat primaries even began.

Why they thought she would win others over when she never won other Democrats over boggles the mind.

Andrew Yang would have been a much better option at the time. He was good at connecting with both sides IMO.

Previous acquired donations could only be spent by the Biden/Harris campaign. Was something like 250 million.

Democrats are planning for AOC to run for 2028 presidency.
Electoral suicide.

I'd expect a blander, Newsom-type figure to emerge. Blandness won after the craziness of the first Trump term and he's turning the crazy up to 11 for his next term.

Yep its all about the money.

They should have pulled Biden earlier. or just given up on losing the 600 million.

400 million with Josh Shapiro or Gavin Newsom would be better than kamala with 1 Billion

Newsom is only popular in California and that has been waning.

He would get wrecked worse than Harris outside of his bubble.

Shapiro would work better with independents. He was lucky not to get tainted with the Harris run.

She inherited his campaign funds.

Basically whatever Biden had, (240 million approx) roles back to the DNC to use on their next ticket.

I'm talking about the Democrat 2020 run off.

She ran out of funds in 2020. She was up against Biden then.

I don't disagree that she was wildly unpopular. But they had money to launder. Shits more important.
I think the question was why was she VP in the first place due to lack of popularity in the 2020 presidential primary. On that point, they rarely ever select a competitive candidate, it's always a younger up and comer and oddly her performance was so bad that she was therefore in the range to be selected as VP. The reason why she was then selected were the same policies she ran on - west-coast influence, female (and female rights), person of colour etc - all made her suitable for the VP pick. Pity she was so well regarded, if you catch my jist.

None of which makes the alleged offending a hit and run.

The damage to the car makes it look like a T bone (the cyclist colliding head on with the side of the car). Depending on the nature of the intersection where this occurred, it could be either parties fault.

Do you know what intersection it happened at?
He left the scene of the accident before police or ambulance arrived. He failed to render assistance.

Also there is a big difference between a bike hitting a car at speed, and a car hitting a bike at speed. For the damage that was sustained by the car to have been caused by the bike, the bike would have to have been travelling extremely fast, likely beyond the limits of the physical universe.

Firstly, he wasn't driving, his wife was.

Secondly, he did stick around. He called the police, who attended the scene (they failed to breathalyze his wife (the driver) though, for which the police officers got in trouble.

Bullshit.

You can clearly see where the Bike has impacted (just in front of the drivers side door and windshield) with the rider of the bike impacting with the windshield, and likely getting hurled forward afterwards.

There is no damage to the front of the car at all.

He didn't stick around. he left before an ambulance or police arrived on the scene. This isn't disputed, not sure how you made such a basic error.

Do you have a reference for that?

According to this:

The police officers who attended the scene did not breathalyse anyone, in breach of standard operating procedures. IBAC cleared police of wrongdoing in December 2017.

He called 000, the police then attended, he was there, but the cops failed to breathalyze them.

Also, his wife was driving.

What cooker website are you getting your info from? Even Sky news is not claiming he sped off before the cops got there (or even that he was driving).

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said: “As has been previously stated, Victoria Police conducted a thorough investigation into this matter, as did IBAC, and all findings were consistent. We have no further comment to provide on the matter.”

Haha, this is the paragraph immediately following the one you quoted from the article. Vic police investigated themselves and found they did nothing wrong. What a joke.

Here is a video with a statement from the cyclists father. I bet you can't find an article stating that Andrews remained on the scene until emergency services arrived.
