Well it still got passed and some of the no voters (including Bernie "Colonel" Sanders) did so as a protest vote due to it not going far enough. The headline is deliberately misleading, given that it's a $110B bill and the only part they could find relevant to these fires is $75M (a whopping 0.0007% of the bill total) allocated for fuel breaks in "pacific regions".

The reason for pointing out the misinformation is because it's harmful.
If all of the focus is incorrectly being applied to a single person or people for political gain, then the actual failings and problems will never be identified and corrected for in the future.


What needs to happen, is to find out what the actual failures were... in order to ensure they either don't happen again, or are reduced.

Claims that because the L.A. Mayor was overseas before this natural disaster started had any real impact on this outcome, is bullshit. And everyone knows it.
This is for political power.


Cruz tried to sneak out of the country for a holiday, while his constituents were dying and calling for him do to more.
Calling Cruz out for leaving in the middle of a natural disaster, for a holiday, is valid.
It isn't blaming him for it, but it's addressing the fact that he is apathetic for Texans.

Bass did the opposite. She ran back to L.A. as soon as the natural disaster began. While also communicating constantly.

Cruz will continue his podcast and boot-licking, and all is forgiven. He's still a senator...



Stop blaming DEI, Democrats, Hillary Clinton etc etc.

Would you condemn a livestock farmer in a rural part of Australia for using less public transport than you would in London?
Would you brag or feel superior to them for having less of a carbon footprint?



It's the same problem with some virtue signaler in New York saying that the US should ban cars, and that people in Vermont should just walk or use public transport.
It's a complete lack of awareness of location based privileges.
