It's not the selling coal that is the issue, is the funding of coal generated power. That funding from international funds is closing in on zero but I more centrally planned economies they are built, owned and operated by government (e.g. India and China).

There's may be a small long term ripple effect if we slow down our coal exports but in the short term they will merely source alternative supply.

It's moot though - Albo will do squat and Dutton is pro fossil fuel, hence the nuclear position that kicks the can down the road for 25 to 30 years.

You're conflating a handful of things here.
E. Jean Carroll was the woman he r*ped.
Stormy Daniels was the person who was paid 'hush money' including how Trump tried to cover up the story in the month prior to the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and Trump's falsification of business records, in order to influence the election results.

Australia is a net energy exporter, China is a net energy importer. Ditto India.
They are separate issues to what the US is doing.

I'd love it if we could reduce coal exports to China and elsewhere - especially given we have such little diversification in our top export markets (coking coal will always be needed though). I'd also much prefer we kept a decent proportion of our energy extraction revenue (a la Norway) but Australia has a history of being short sighted in the regard, irrespective of who is in power at the time.

Its just one giant goalpost move for the mere fact that the goal trying to be achieved isnt achievable.
