Hypothetically, if you are objectively wrong on something... How do I present you with information that counters your current view/position?
Ignore any subjective positions, just engage with this hypothetical.
If you were objectively wrong on a specific position, how could someone engage with you to the point you accept that you were incorrect?
If I present facts, evidence, sources, explanations etc. And actively treat you with respect and view you as a person of integrity. Shouldn't that be enough?

You should question all information to a certain degree. Not just information that counters your position.

So, hypothetically, how could you engage with and correct a person who is objectively wrong on their subjective position.

Tomorrow, we will mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Mark Dreyfus and I are here in Poland, here together, to remember the six million Jewish lives lost - taken - in the Holocaust. Six million men, women and children murdered, including a million, near to here, at Auschwitz.​

There is not and will never be any evidence of Wong "Downplaying the impact of the Holocaust...." by example of "Penny Wong just literally said 1 mill died when it was 6.".

But it will remain as 'fact', and a position of opposition to 'the left', forever more.

And I've no idea how to repair that.

BUT

I can't even agree or like this post, because of the obviously futile attempt I keep making to engage with that poster.

All I do, repeatedly, is push away support for me and my positions, by breaking my spine to bend over backwards to find a 'middle ground'. [ MarcMaverick].

At what point can we accept that being hostile, aggressive or rude plays no part in these people cementing themselves in their positions?

When is it OK for me to hate a person who just killed a close friend of mine (purely because they THOUGHT that my close friend was 'born' a male').
Is it ok for me to want to inflict violence on that person? Or am I bad, because it's a 'left' position? But the literal murder is ok, because "women's sport" or whatever bullshit.
