How did this team lose? It looks great. No Patton?

Here is a bit of a write up on the game:

Giants reserves coach Brett Hand said O'hAilpin (calf) was progressing nicely in his return from injury and his recovery would determine whether he makes his Giants senior debut next week.
''He was great for us in the forward line in the first half and we wanted to see him in the second half down back, and he showed some signs and that was good for him,'' Hand said.
''He got through that game very well and it's just a matter of how he recovers. He's had some pretty serious injuries so it's about his body. He's not far away for sure.''
The Giants started well, getting out to an 11-point lead at quarter-time but a five-goal-to-one second term gave the Demons the lead that they held to the end.
GWS kept coming at Eastlake but they were unable to contain Aaron Bruce (seven goals) and his three last-quarter goals iced the game.
Eastlake coach Anthony Bourke praised the former Sydney Swans rookie for stepping up in an injury-depleted forward line.
Aaron Wiles was dominant through the middle and Bourke thought his onballer's ability to nullify the Giants running game was the key to the win.
''Brucey was great. Our midfielders [were also great with] their work in there. GWS have some good, big, young ruckmen who hit to advantage a lot and our ruckmen battled well to try and negate that advantage,'' Bourke said.
''But it was our midfield work and some of the structures that they put in place to try and at least 50-50 most of those contests were really important for us.''
Hand was pleased with the way his young team applied itself, especially Liam Sumner, ruckman Andrew Phillips and Nick Haynes (three goals), but felt a lack of composure under pressure was costly in the end.

No Patton this week for UWS, he's still around 4-6 weeks away from seniors if he stays on track so they'll be managing him in the twos.

Interestingly UWS has the bye next week so that's two weeks off for Patton, might be looking at a full game against the Suns reserves in two weeks at Manuka.

Can anyone update me on Sam Darley? Heard good things pre-season. Haven't heard much since. I see he's played most (if not all) games for UWS this season. Any chance for senior selection soon given Sheeds has talked about resting players?

Sorry to intrude also, I got Stevie Clifton in my dream team....it appears that the band aid was removed in the Dream Team Analyser and has him scheduled to play in Round 6. Was wondering if this was still the case?

Cheers

Here is the match report by the club:

http://www.gwsgiants.com.au/uws-giants-go-down-to-eastlake.html

Eastlake proved too strong for the UWS GIANTS, running out 18 point winners in their NEAFL clash at Manuka Oval on Saturday.

The GIANTS got away to a flying start as they consistently won clearances and pushed the ball forward. Draftee Liam Sumner’s run in the midfield and clean disposal helped set up a number of goals for his teammates and opened up a 11 point lead at quarter time.

After an interrupted pre-season because of injury, Setanta O'hAilpin continued his good recent form, booting three goals and showing he is not far from senior selection.

Draftee Nick Haynes also pushed his claims for senior selection with three goals in an impressive performance and another young midfielder Dom Tyson was also prominent booting two goals.

UWS GIANTS Coach Brett Hand said that while the coaching staff was disappointed with the result, there were a number of promising signs from yesterday’s game.

Is Hoskin-Elliott injured?

His preseason form had me foaming at the mouth and he was okay without being fantastic in the first couple of weeks. I'm not seeing his name in the bests here and he missed a week. Is he carrying a niggle or just a bit out of form?

Hi Guys, where is Craig Moller at the moment? If he is not playing for GWS, who does he play for? Is he injured at the moment?
He could be back with Sydney Uni (who play against UWS in the NEAFL and also have teams in the Sydney AFL) but I had a quick look and didn't see his name anywhere in their teams from the past few weeks. So I guess he might be injured.

Good to see you guys having a look at Tungatalum. Absolute mature age gun and named on the giants bench this weekend.

What is the go with Clifton?

I thought hed be a best 22 lock all year...

Strange, Tungatalum plays in the NEAFL for Hills, they usually grab younger guys as topups.

Clifton fractured his wrist in round 1 reserves, first game back this week. Should get a run in the seniors at some point if he can build some form with UWS.

Round 8 vs Gold Coast Suns

B: M Buntine T Golds S Darley
HB: S Frost T Segrave M Whiley
C: S Clifton A Miles S Edwards
HF: W Hoskin-Elliott A Tomlinson N Wilson
F: N Haynes C Hampton G Ugle
Rucks: T Downie S Reid S Schulz
Inter. (from): J Patton C Baxter R Tungatalum C Robinson M Channon

Hard to gauge best player with such shocking commentary, names I heard called were Greene, Growden, Aylett etc. Anywho, here are my thoughts:
Really liked the game of Buntine, think he'll debut soon.
Clifton started very slowly but got going late.
Wilson was dangerous around goals and took his opportunities.
Edwards has great athleticism he's a bit bigger than I thought he was.
Ugle was good missed a couple shots on goal though.
Another player caught my eye through the middle also, think it was Schulz.
Patton showed some good signs with a few good grabs before coming off looking sore.
Didn't like the game of Sam Reid, he looks very slow and heavy to me despite a nice late goal.
I'm assuming Hampton didn't play, if not he had a stinker.

Oh and anyone know whats going on with Cooyou?
