If there was a ladder predictor for D1, what would the final home & away ladder for 2007 look like as far as D1 in concerned?

Noticed on the VAFA website re Tribunal & Investigations results, that Old Pradians & Old Mentonians each copped a $200 fine each for a 'major melee'. Considering the incident that took place between the clubs and the comments posted on bigfooty after the incident and what happend I would have thought that the VAFA would have come down hard on the persons responsible for the melee with stiff penalties like suspensions ranging from 2-6 games depending on the severity of the melee, and maybe instead of a $200 fine, it should have been a $600 fine. Has the Tribunal & Investigation committee gone soft on handing down penalties re melees? I fear that if the VAFA does not keep a close watch on incidents on and off the field during the finals (no matter how violent) then the D1 finals series would be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Any thoughts on this?

Hampton rover have got to kidding themselves if they think they are realistic finals condtenders. They must not realise that the games are being played on a decent ground (sandringham) not some shit heap hampton play on. Watch the other teams run rings around them.

ps. HAMPTON might need to adjust just there playing styles and stop picking tall dopey pricks who can't play football. Just a suggestion. Good luck to the other teams who make the finals.

Funny you should say that Set Shot, in earlier times the Rovers hated the Sandringham ground because it would not suit their style of play. The Rovers lost the 1988 D Section Grand Final at Sandringham to Preston and in 1994 lost the first semi final to Old Camberwell. It wasn't until 1998 thanks to Russell Barnes when he was coaching the Rovers that the Rovers adapted to the Trevor Barker Oval a lot better and begin to win games there.

Is Therry EVER going to win a game at all this year? This is not the Therry Penola who 7 years ago won the C Grade Grand Final against Beaumaris and went up to B would it?

I would like to see the Rovers be successful in this finals series, but...if there's one thing that could bring the Rovers in trouble or undone it is this-lack of finals experience. And that is so important if your team wants to win a flag. Even though the Reserves won a flag 2 years ago, the seniors hasn't played in a final for 6 years-and that is a long time as far as finals football is concerned. There is a HUGE difference between home & away football and finals football and it's that the pressure and intensity go up a notch or two. Some of the experts might be predicting a Rovers-Oakleigh GF, but you can never be certain-any team from Oakleigh, Old Mentonians, Prahran-yes Prahran-might be there instead of the Rovers. So to the Rovers I say this-assume nothing in this game-anything can happen.

If your scared, stay in bed. Cos Uncle Mick has written them off. They can take those raging homosexual green and purple jumpers down to D2 with them.

HAHAHAHA:D You've gotta laugh!
What's happened to South & Vodka? Come on guys, stick up for your club!
(Green & Purple does tend to clash!)

HBP - I have better things to do than bring myself down to that level!!

I believe entire threads have been dedicated to such debates, ie stinker jumper colours. Hampton could well be the pot calling the kettle black.

To you all who don't rate The Rovers, get a life, we will be there on GF Day, will you ? From the Top Four Teams, only OM's have beaten Oakleigh twice, maybe a OM'S Rovers goal fest at The Trevor Barker !
