Yep, hopefully we don’t

On that though, what is the most grounds a senior club has called home? Yarra have now had at least 4 home grounds in my short time in the Ammo’s, so curious of other teams who might have moved a bit? OMs probably up there?

Looks like we might see a little more playout from the events of last Saturday at Dairy Bell. Elsternwick have requested 2 investigations into Hawthorn and the VAFA an investigation into Elsternwick.

Not sure what prohibited conduct is or could be construed as?

It will be interesting to see if any of these are fully resolved/investigated before the GF on Saturday week.

Collegians have been playing at the Harry Trott Oval for a long long time, but in 1996 the Trott was relocated from near where the near the top of the current Albert Park golf course to its current location.

The old Trott was better

Collegians started back in the 1890s/early 1900's playing its home games on the front turf at Wesley. In the 1930's/40's, Collegian's home ground was the No. 2 oval at Elsternwick. In 1952 Collegians moved to the Harry Trott at the top end of Albert Park, and were there until 1996 when the Harry Trott was relocated to the southern end of Albert Park with the redevelopment for the Grand Prix.

So for a club that has been around for over 130 years, it's had remarkably few ground changes.

Did Collegians go directly from old Harry Trott to new Harry Trott, or did they spend a gap year somewhere else?

I remember the other clubs in Albert Park Reserve had to play the 1995 season elsewhere. I seem to recall Ajax playing some games at Cordner Oval (Fawkner Park), while South Melbourne District played at North Port Oval and Albert Park (then ANZ Albert Park) got exiled down to East Bentleigh somewhere.

Word is it’s for multiple racial comments made towards an Elsternwick player.

Collegians went directly from one ground to the other between seasons.

Yes. Problem is no-one knows who the player is - Elsternwick or Hawthorn. The Citz's are livid and have launched their own investigation as it goes against the clubs values and code of conduct, but are yet to uncover the culprit.
What's interesting is the difference how each club handles things.

Thanks Penski, great information, I knew we had played at the Front Turf for a period of time as well early on. As you said, it's rather remarkable how few home grounds we have had and attests to the great stability the club has had off-field.

All GP RELATED , Ron Walker thought he owned the park
You seem to be replaying issues from almost three decades ago quite a bit. It's not perfect and I know we have some issues with the ground at the moment in terms of drainage when it cops a heavy downpour, but it is what it is. I know having the GP so close to April has really shafted a lot of clubs especially South districts and Albert Park, but what else can be done? It is not like we can go and change the F1 GP fixture with a click of the fingers.
