Clubs do put in a requestIm giving it a whack from round 1. Quite similar to the pies having to go to a livestock paddock round 1 after a flag. Why the hell don't collegians get a home game. Every premier should get round 1 at home. Unless there was a request I am not aware of from them
Maybe it could be linked to the GP schedule ?Im giving it a whack from round 1. Quite similar to the pies having to go to a livestock paddock round 1 after a flag. There's three weeks between it and round 1?Maybe it could be linked to the GP schedule ?
Correct and the Trott doesn't get trashed like the rats do to the rest of the park . Might be that they may have a big function at some stageThere's three weeks between it and round 1?
Yep, Makes sense, I do believe you get 3 pretty much guaranteed fixture requests per year, could be different in Prem, just would've thought they'd want flag unfurling round 1Correct and the Trott doesn't get trashed like the rats do to the rest of the park . Collegians have normally requested round 1 to be away due to the the GP most years.Im giving it a whack from round 1. Matt Collister leaving to go to Super Netball
taking after the aflJungle drums are beating that Ewart is not the issue here.
I believe he is wanting a full and transparent investigation into the board. Secret board meetings, decisions made without full board approval or transparency, zero governance, unqualified board members, are just the tip of the iceberg I believe...
Wish we could watch a livestream of the VAFA AGM next Tuesday night, because what will come out of the meeting will be felt for years to come. It will make a VAFA club Board look well run and orgainised by comparision.
How good would BRYAN have been on the board and Hippster for that matterIt's amazing that with so many smart, effective operators in the ammo's, none of them can ever find their way onto the VAFA Board, and instead, we're always left with what seems to be the worst possible kind of person to take on the role.
How Anderson has still got a full page is beyond me , must have pictures of MurdochAnyone with at least half a brain (at least a few people on these boards) knows Alistair Ewart is the identity in question who at the end of the day is costing us clubs money. For the love of god lets hope all clubs vote accordingly and send this nuisance packing at Tuesdays EGM. He has been nothing short of disruptive since the day he landed on the doorsteps at Elsternwick Park. One must ask the question - how was he and Tim Habel voted onto the Board? His Candidate Statement said, and I quote: "I have a minimum of 4 and up to 10 corporate partners ready to show their support." I have it on good authority not a single corporate partner has showed their support. Nothing else on the Statement has eventuated either. In fact, quite the opposite I understand. In my line of work, that's often referred to as fraudulent behaviour. As for John Anderson's gossip column, Mr. Ewart has been seen many a time at Geelong Amateurs games talking to Mr. Anderson (prior to Mr. Ewart being told he was no longer welcome at Como Park), therefore it is little wonder where the information in the Sun is originating from, and little wonder the legal fees are stacking up.
Speaking of Tim Habel, rumour has it this person is pushing hard to become the next Vafa President. For the love of christ!!! Difficult to imagine if this was to eventuate - a 'President' who only last year illegally recorded the administration team during a meeting without their consent. Also, a 'President' whose priority is anything other than 'football'.
How do you know it's not till next TuesdayI've never known a VAFA AGM to be as nasty or unforgiving as next Tuesday's night meeting will be. It will be football politics of the worst kind, with backstabbing, finger pointing backroom dealing and number crunching like we saw in Canberra during the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd years, which is the last thing most struggling VAFA clubs need at this point in time, wondering where their home games will be played at, how are they going to entice volunteers to help out each Saturday/Sunday, having to deal with their local council etc. And the fallout will be felt in years to come.

English please? It appears that clubs have received a tell quite a bit email today sometime.
Please go JaseLet's say you're a big name company (ie ANZ Bank, CUB, Toyota) looking to sponsor the leading grassroots football competition in Victoria, the VAFA. Would you have second thoughts about sponsoring the VAFA if push come to shove at next Tuesday's AGM which would make Netball Australia be well run and efficient by comparison?

Here's an advice to all club representative who are attending the VAFA AGM-bring your 'flak jacket' with you, it could come in handy. From now on it should be referred to as the 'C U Next Tuesday's' AGM.
Who is the authority? From what I heard AE is very well respected at COMO. Who is saying all this to you, assume it would be breach of confidentially. I know Ewart has brought in numerous organisations which has benefited the VAFA and clubs substantially. He is having a real go on getting the VAFA as successful as other sporting competitions. Why were certain board members accessing legal fees without permission and setting up dirt files to align with their agendas.Anyone with at least half a brain (at least a few people on these boards) knows Alistair Ewart is the identity in question who at the end of the day is costing us clubs money.
