Jon Anderson in the HS with a piece on the board being in turmoil
What are the chances of AFL Victoria being asked to take over the VAFA Board for 12 months by having 3 administrators run the VAFA until new elections are held in 2024-25, in much the same way 3 government administrators run a dismissed local government until fresh elections are confirmed?

AFL Victoria is a stupid name AFL is it's own comp . They are not needed , surely too many good people in the VAFA that can fix it

Don't be surprised if the VAFA release a 'rose-coloured' version of the AGM on December 12 ie 'great season, nothing to see here, move along' etc, which won't be a true version of what actually happened at the AGM. Expect to see the VAFA version of 'the Night of the Long Knives' at that meeting. And the ramifications from that meeting is going to be felt in years to come.

Apologies if paywalled. Some things are bigger than football. Incredible effort by a young De La player. 50 x 50 kilometre runs in 50 days to raise money for mental health. Has been all over the club socials for almost 2 months so disappointing that the VAFA media team haven not picked up on it.

Melbourne man Jack Hanley runs 50 kilometres 50 days in a row

An absolutely amazing effort and good on him for doing this. De La has always been a great club and this is another example of it.

I'm hearing old mate Ewart may be onto something. Hearing about 10 clubs will put a motion forward backing him.
Word is that the board is highly dysfunctional with alot of skulduggery and questionable decision making going on behind closed doors.
Not all as it seems.
Wondering which group is more dysfunctional at the moment-the VAFA Board; or the Victorian branch of the Liberal Party?

He was on SEN today. Great story and massive effort. I’m sure if De La were in Premier then VAFA media would have picked it up.

Premier fixture has just dropped
Im giving it a whack from round 1. Quite similar to the pies having to go to a livestock paddock round 1 after a flag. Why the hell don't collegians get a home game. Every premier should get round 1 at home. Unless there was a request I am not aware of from them
