Easy to say . Why wouldn't the Wicks tap into Elwood High etc
Obviously no Ormond Juniors at Elwood High. - Go for it Wicks.
If they don't have any kind of feeder program they will inevitably die. Its important and vafa should be pushing them to try and get one or something similar up, easier said then done i know but not many players are playing into their 30's anymore. Numbers can fall off very quickly.
East Brighton senior club struggle as it is to acquire junior players to transition into the seniors. Reckon if they are lucky it would be about 10% of their list at any given time….so no chance Elsternwick are going to get anything out of this. East Brighton juniors traditionally go to private schools and play for the old boys clubs- Old Brighton, Caulfield Grammarians, Collegians, Haileybury.Pretty sure East Brighton's juniors train at Elsternwick at times. Perhaps that needs to be part of the set-up.
Hope so. Hate going to that end of the earth.Have heard that Aquinas have made inquires about joining the EFNL
Would mean that WP stay in D2 if they do. But also wouldn't mind either.Have heard that Aquinas have made inquires about joining the EFNL
Good on you as a legend of local sportHope so. Hate going to that end of the earth.
What’s in it for Coburg? All about the bar isn't it.
The reality is Coburg is a member club of the VAFA where it is not a member club of the EDFL. That's the difference. The EDFL already stage finals at Keilor, Greenvale and Highgate (Craigieburn).
Also look at locations of teams in Division 1 and Division 2.
Let's say UHS-VU, Brunswick, Therry Penola and Preston make the Division 1 finals next year. Coburg makes a lot of sense in terms of getting crowds. Instead of depositing them at Whitefriars or Sandringham....
You should speak to your mate Jason about it Platinum. Surely he’ll look after you and reduce your administrative tasks.I’ve heard it all now, just what the VAFA needs, more administration tasks.

What’s in it for Coburg?
I know it's a stretch given the administration, however you'd hope they wouldn't be expected to join in D3 and work their way up.There is the potential they could join the VAFA full-time if things don't turn around.
45 minutes from Williamstown; and no complaints.Hope so. Hate going to that end of the earth.
The 'Coburg Bullants' playing out of the Coburg Football Ground and wearing the Bullants' guernsey could be a boon for 2 clubs and the VAFA. It's a 6k drive and about 10 minutes.I know it's a stretch given the administration, however you'd hope they wouldn't be expected to join in D3 and work their way up.
Potential for a record-breaking six flags in six grades though.
You do realise that the two clubs hate each other, right? It'd be like proposing a merger between Collingwood and CarltonThe 'Coburg Bullants' playing out of the Coburg Football Ground and wearing the Bullants' guernsey could be a boon for 2 clubs and the VAFA. It's a 6k drive and about 10 minutes.
What a great idea, E-D. We could call the merged team Carltingwood and play with navy and white stripes. What a support base the club would have. You do realise that the two clubs hate each other, right? It'd be like proposing a merger between Collingwood and Carlton
Eh. I still.very much doubt it.What a great idea, E-D. We could call the merged team Carltingwood and play with navy and white stripes. What a support base the club would have.
Regarding Coburg, I was referring to Preston Div 1 VAFA.
I don't like top 5 tbhAny chance of VAFA going to a top 5 for finals fixtures like some other leagues? Or top 4 here to stay?
Simply no, unless they have an 11/12 team division. A top five means an extra week of finals which means booking more groundsI don't like top 5 tbh
Means the season will finish in October after the AFL Grand FinalI don't like top 5 tbh
Still?Eh. I still.very much doubt it.
If it's not broken ..... However, there could be room for improvement.I don't like top 5 tbh
