Absolutely, if Tutt didn't injure his hammy today then I would have thought that he would slot into the team next week. Johannisen and Sherman are both fit and firing so one of the two should probably be playing next week.

Worst game I've seen for 20 years. Uncompetitive. We seriously looked like a VFL team tonight, just came back from the game.
We were terrible in all aspects of the game. We were outnumbered 2 or 3 to 1 at every contest. How does that happen???
ONLY positive and I mean ONLY positive to come out was Dahlhouse. He was our best by an absolute street and seriously is the only player who should hold his head up.
I honestly can't see any improvement coming in the coming weeks, think the long dark days are ahead for the next 3-5 years.
There are no superstars at the club, there is no one on the list that will become a Judd or Franklin.
We must be ruthless in the next few drafts. You want to know my players, i'll give them to you.
Cross, has to go. Wallis to come in straight swap. Just like what we did with Scott West, it's time for Cross to be cut.
Minson, is not a ruckmans backside, was supposed to be no. 1 ruckman???
He should be moved on at years end. He is a good VFL ruckman, and that's where he belongs.
Higgins, we've all had it. HE'S GOT TO GO, even for a packet of chips, just move him on, he's not good enough.
Gia, hang up the boots, let the kids come through.
We, as a club, will not get anywhere the way we keep accepting mediocrity and going along the way we do. The membership drops, and the on field problems keep getting worse.
Unless we start get ruthless with changes, we will become the next Melbourne, and I'm sick of this. There was one, and only one gentleman giving the players a bake as they went off the field. The rest of the muppets that were around next to the race clapped them off. I'm sick of this. That's why this club is rubbish

I know he's our favourite scapegoat and I'll be shot down by the bleeding heart sympathisers, but I saw Gia make ONE good chase for the night. Every other time it was his turn to go he gave up, stopped and put his hands on his head.
Someone justify his selection for me. One cheap goal a match doesn't cut it for a senior player and "leader". It's piss-weak.
Dahlhaus, Roughead, Griffen, Libba and Smith are the only players whom we can guarantee will take us forward in the side tonight. Amazing amount of deadweight for a club that should have seen the writing on the wall last year.

Dahlhaus being by far our best player is a very bad indictment on our list. Grant, Lake and Higgins were serviceable.
Saints always had loose players at contests too so they either flat out win the contest or tackle our player and get another contest until they can carry it away.
Need Campbell or Hill to support Jones as there was no forward structure and some players that can actually kick the ball and provide some run like JJ.

Higgins - Serviceable, were you at the game, the number of times I saw him running around in circles, not picking up an opponent when St Kilda had the ball was ridiculous, the pointing fingers and barking instructions for other players to pick up loose men.
He needs to go back to Williamstown until he gets some urgency into his game

Lukey dal and Markovic were the only positives. Any chance Lake will get rubbed out?
Don't know why we have Gia in the forward line when we could actually have someone who fights for the ball- Dahl, Clay, Sherman, Cooney anyone could do a better job at competing.
When the ball splilled tp the backman (which happened 95% of the time) he just stood there- refused to chase. When he was one on one with Geary- he was beaten every time.
Minson won a few taps against Stanley, but he got well and truly walloped by McEvoy. how long can we afford to have our no 1 ruck being totally outplayed every week?
If St K had converted their chance in Q1 we would have lost by 15 goals not ten. Really don't understand why we are so weak when we go to tackle the opposition. Thought this was what we worked on over summer.

I was at the game and he took a number of interception marks that would of resulted in a goals, put his body on the line, and made correct decisions that the rest of the team couldnt do.

Same one as you Mate??????????????????????????????? I'm not the only one that thought he was one of our better players which isn't hard. Had nearly as many disposals as the two St Kilda ruckman tonight combined and had more hitouts than them combined. He is not the slowest ruckman in the league. If he is a vfl player at best the afl has gone down a fair bit.

Some tough years ahead no doubt and in a rebuilding phase and we all should have known at the start of this year not to expect much this year...However this performance went beyond rebuild and expected downturn just an uncompetitive soft and overall pathetic performance. No point blaming 1 or 2 or 3 players collective responsibility for that effort from everyone players and coaches

I honestly think both sides played insipid, uninspiring football for 3 quarters. St Kilda played some good football in the third and were overall better than us during the other 3, but a weak showing from both clubs in my honest opinion. Not sure whether to take the fact that Ayce was our leading tackler as a good sign for him or a damning sign for our team.

As I posted in the other thread. The stats show we were in the game but we got smashed on the scoreboard. We need to address out forward line and find more ways to score otherwise we will get smashed every week.
The contested ball, clearances, inside 50s were pretty much even. The Saints kicked 12.7 from turnovers tonight. They hurt us the other way when we failed to score.
I think it's tough for the coaching staff. As much as you'd like to throw Murphy or Lake forward it makes our defence even more vulnerable.
So what's the solution?
