I take my Kindle. I read it on the train if I get a seat and I usually get there an hour or so before bounce down so read before the game and sometimes at half-time. I am not going to lie, I barely watched the last quarter and a half of the Sydney game- I read instead.
 
Regular decisions by coaching staff that are either weird (Hughes to wing, selecting O Meara over Brodie) not adventurous enough (dudes on bigfooty have been calling for Young in the midfield for a year) or just ill planned (there hasn't really been a plan for Jackson or Fyfe) makes me think we are still pretty amateurish at this club.

In hindsight maybe.. trialling Hughes on wing thinking he has good tank , long kick, hard attack on the footy.

With O'Meara , Brodie was bit scapegoat. But they weren't going drop new recruit over Brodie who was not playing well either and had deficiencies. O'Meara had a reasonable patch leading up to his suspension

He won't win it. Watching the Saints/Tigers game yesterday, the CEO's brother said it's between three players and Jye wasn't one of those three if you want an insight into how your common-or-garden-variety AFL pundit thinks.

Apparently there was a young guy playing for Brisbane on the weekend who was supposed to have been amazing (in a winning team)
 
RS seems a bit like the Brownlow. Mids only need apply. The fact Amiss isn’t even in the discussion in most footy media tells you that.
If he played for a Melbourne based team he might be a shot

Hell if he played for a big Vic team they would be talking about him as a future hall of famer already.

It isn't a Nobel Prize or anything but it's not nothing. Think I've mentioned elsewhere but what if there was a bonus of some sort in my contract for being nominated and I keep missing out because of reasons? I'd be pissed. The judging is Micky Mouse but the award isn't.

Pushes it own agendas.
To say the competition is run evenly is laughable.
But I suppose WC fans need something to keep them interested.

Exactly, I don't see why anyone cares about a meaningless award, the Rising Star hasn't done anything for anybody's career.
 
Look people, we’re basically a ginger stepchild of the AFL. The vibes kinda show that they don’t really want us and you would be forgiven for having a conspiracy theory in that regard so I’m not sure why is anyone getting angry or surprised by rhe AFL’s ignorance. If we folded next year they probably wouldn’t bat an eyelid except maybe fast track Tassie team in. We’re just too far away from the East and they know it’s inconvenient. We won’t change anything but hey, we will win the premiership one day and that will be much sweeter for doing it against the odds basically.
How else can anyone explain all tye weird shit that happened to our club only and no one else. You could seriously make a kickarse doco on it (I hope someone does one day)
