The little things matter. At least 3 times guys (banfield, Henry, serong) had shots from 50 and the ball was touched on the line. There are 2 options - pass to a lead up forward, or put the ball 10 meters out. I understand that 2 of these guys are playing for their spot on the team but good teams do the team thing and center the ball. This kind of thing will kill us in a close game.

Another yawn effort game where the game plan didn't change when needed. Maybe JL has a longer term goal in mind and this is part of the process.
Let Walsh run free for the whole game :think: - he was like a Sushi Chef and we were sliced up and served up on a platter for 4 quarters.... maybe Josh Carr forgot to make the suggestion to get Aish onto him...

In his defense, with Acres and O'Driscoll down Aish is our only experienced wingman left and moving him to a tagging role would of left us with next to no outside options.

Sorry to hear that you're struggling bud.

If I could offer any advice, I'd recommend not tying your well being to things you have no control over. Just take those as they come.

Thanks I do want that euphoria of the club winning a premiership to the next level.

And yes I have zero control over them winning.

If we do the unthinkable and lose to everyone including the bin chickens...yes. But even that would be extraordinarily unlikely. 12.5 wins is historically enough.
Teams have done their homework on us, our outside speed overall worries
clubs.
We are getting a glimpse into finals type footy, and we are now the hunted.
Doesn’t help that we have little flexibility and are not playing players who will
Thrive under the conditions.
Tabs is not moving well, one of his strengths, Pearce lower body is suss. Darcy
has hit the wall.
Lobb’s usual injury woes at critical times.
We have Meek, Treacy available and yet still play like we control the tempo.
For me Treacy if fit should be picked, sure his marking can be up and down but
what he brings to the table, a physical contest cannot be denied.
Then we have the option to use Logue as a true swingman where required.
An injury to Pearce, Tabs and it’s covered allowing our small/medium players
to do their thing.
No Lobb then Meek should play, allowing both to get forward of the ball.
The marking statistic, should be an indicator of what’s required.
That and tackles, contested ball, too many front runners, looks great when
allowed, the opposition want us to play Slow.
The balance isn’t there between power and speed.

I noticed Fyfe do these little handballs to compromised teammates.
Don’t protect your stats dude clear the ball. We now have some handy runners on the outside!
He wasn’t the only one doing that
More a sign of Richmonds pressure than anything

There was a fairly conservative way we moved the ball in that game which I liked
Richmond are not a team that you want to create turnovers against, they love it and will make you pay
It worked , good coaching and reasonably well executed
Ugly footy but hey, we didn’t exactly lose

Richmond are cheating ficks. They knew there will not be repercussions subbing out their slowest most vulnerable player for their quickest half way thru the last quarter. Richmond got away with it in the first round without even a slap on the wrist from the AFL . The pricks knew they would get away with it again. If there is Karma coming to them they will miss out on the eight by 2 miserable points. Ficking self entitled yobs.

Freo should be rewarded the win. The sub rule was brought in for concussions and injuries.

When questioned a number of players inckudthe coach had contradictory injuries to the player.

It opens up the floodgates to fake injuries as they did and cheat.

Freo should take a stand

Why do we have such a tough draw when we finished so lowly last year?

Many of the teams in our final 12 games were competing last year - in fact GWS and Eagles and surprise drop-offs.

Shocking.
Start of the year was easy though
