I was interested in BF thought on the following issue.

As an example Richmond F.C effectively sack 5 assistant coaches, hire Balme to shake the club up a de-list under performing players (some older and some recent draftees).

My question is who is responsible for hiring under performing assistant coaches who by association must have not been able to coach and deliver the message to both established and newer type players.

If you were a player are you a victim of a poorly managed club which effectively destroyed an opportunity to prosper as a AFL footballer.

I do not think RFC are the only culprits regarding this situation.

I believe Brisbane has ruined a few careers due to poor development coaching. Also obsession with playing players in weak positions early in their careers.

Confidence killers.

Ross Lyon is good at that also. Plenty of St kilda players will atest to that. Mckenna wasn't bad at it either.
 
McLachlan has just come out and stated GWS won't have any salary cap concessions next year.......I thought they ended at the conclusion of the 2018 season.

"McLachlan said if the Giants defeated the Bulldogs and won the flag, the perception that their first premiership came prematurely would be understandable.

Despite this, he also said the Giants played by the same rules as every other team and would be deserving winners nonetheless".

very strange. it's not like gill and the afl to change the rules on the go. :$

I don't know if that's a change on the fly or what but I thought the funny thing was saying GWS play by same rules as everyone else and then highlighting they have a different 2016 salary cap (ie they don't play by same rules).

Interesting scenes here in Adelaide, GWS merchandise popping up at virtually all retail outlets that stock footy gear... In the past only the largest clubs had their merch on show (Crows, Carlton, Essendon, Collingwood, Richmond etc.)

Strange to see GWS gear among it and not, for instance, Port merch

Lip service from the AFL only. You can't have a team line up contracts based on what their cap was, then take it away overnight.

They could increase every other club's cap to match GWS's, though.

That's what they're doing with the removal of the Veterans allowance (simply adding it to the cap as a whole, making any existing contract completely unaffected).

What a narrative, Beat both of last year's grand finalists (Including the 3 time consecutive champs) two weeks running and then to go on the road again and knock off Gils Love Child.

Outstanding, I think we were all Doggies supporters tonight.
