Vickery proving he is already a gun forward, but will become a menace for teams when he puts on some more weight. The thing I am wondering is how Ben Griffiths can fit in with Jack and Vickery so dominant....is there room for all 3?

Vickery will also be a gun ruck so we can always use him there, but I really like him in the forward line. At worst we know we have two quality tall power forwards and we only need a ruck!!!!

He is very smart footballer and I said from day one this guy will make it:thumbsu: To opposition clubs, keep picking athletes!

It's a good problem to have. Vickery will be a gun ruckman who goes forward and troubles teams, good for 30-40 goals a year. Griff will be CHF, Jack doing what he does now. We just need another tall who can play ruck, because Jack and Griff cannot. Maybe Posty can do that? Backup ruck/3rd tall swingman, Leigh Brown role. Post needs to improve.

yep so did I, bout time we played him as a fwd. we drafted him as one :D almost tore the game apart if not for slightly wayward kicking. still super impressed and a number of time sused his body very well shruging tackles. will get most improved this year at our club.

I would go the other way and leave him forward and send him into the ruck as second ruck. Need to recruit a huge tap ruckman that provides quality taps for Vickery to support while kicking bags.

I guess we would'nt be surprised if T.V gave a few of the knockers a bit of a raspberry for some of the get rid of him or he's a spud comments !! His performance tonight will go a long way in him growing as a player." DELICIOUS" !

I know this is a Vickery post but how did Post do tonight havent seen the game yet?

Heh, get ready for some mixed responses ;)

He was pretty solid, mostly playing down back, read the play well and linked up nicely. Just lets himself down with some non football smarts, I think he lacks concentration as much as anything (eg. Karnezis' first goal). Was subbed off late in the 3rd, which was a sensible move seeing as the Lions lost Clarke early doors.

a round of applause is due for mr vickery. Very happy with him tonight. could have kicked a huge bag had he not missed a few times.:D

Have always supported him and defended him from the knockers, he was always well ahead of schedule.
Much happier to know this rather than be someone who bagged him and now say he's proven me wrong, what a cop out of an attitude that is. Talk about having a bet each way.

Thanks for the response MK and DD ..I had high hopes for this guy. Still do, he needs to be played from now on and played down back he is most comfortable and looks natural down there IMO. Living in hope for his breakout game. Like Ty Vick.
