Victorian Covid Outbreak 2021

This is the most bizarre thing in this whole COVID sh*t show.

How on earth have the Republicans managed to position themselves as this pro freedom and anti Vax movement? And how have they sucked people in??

They literally tried to win an election only a year or so ago by trying to make people ineligible to vote. They literally tried to remove people's right to vote! And that's not a new thing for them. They've been doing that for a long long time.

In top of that there's the abortion thing, where the government decides what you can't do to your own body!

Then there's the support of police who shoot people.

There's Trump being the self proclaimed 'father of the vaccine', and giving his rich mates pardons when he leaves his office.

It's simply perplexing that people here have attached and aligned themselves with Republicans. It makes no sense at all.
Uneducated simpletons.

If you don't want the vaccine, fine don't take it. I honestly don't care anymore. I certainly won't shed a tear when people who choose not to get vaccinated die from COVID when we open up. But hey, whatever.

But when you start preventing others from getting it, you've lost every bit of your argument. What happened to "My body, my choice"?. My choice was to listen to scientists, get an understanding of the science and go and get vaccinated. How dare you stop others from doing the same?

Preventing homeless people from getting medical treatment is just about as low as you can go. BTW I know a lot like banging on about democracy - well, 483,435 doses of vaccine were administered in Victoria over the past five days versus the 2,000 odd idiots walking around the city. We're above 75% of adults getting at least one dose. The vast majority of us want to get vaccinated. Let us do it.

Yep on board with this. Open up soon and people who don't want it or don't believe the vaccine is necessary can roll the dice.

Bit of a hyperbole saying they desecrated the shrine.
The manager of the shrine said that whilst he didn't like them using the shrine or the Anzac legacy for their political gain, he was more than happy with how the shrine was treated
the shrine ceo was on 3aw yesterday saying there was no damage, and nothing to clean. either its happened after 6pm last night, or theyve been told to change the narrative
Really, you sure you are talkkng about the same bloke? Sure it wasn’t a protester calling in?

Heres the CEO about 5.30pm yesterday when this video was doing the rounds.

A protester from yesterday has since tested positive for Covid-19.

Darwin's law in action.
Must have got it from those 5G towers while using their phone to stream the protest….

Anyhow what’s the idiot doing in hospital considering they don’t believe in it?

Been in schools and seen the teaching lately have you? The curriculum calls for students to be exposed to both sides of an argument. They are then left to make up their own minds. Doesn't make for indoctrination, makes for critical thinkers. But do tell me how everyone else is wrong and your opinion on everything is right.
Said the "teacher" who's outraged over "sky news" content and the "outrageous" treatment our Premier. kids must love you.

Josh Reid Jones posted on Instagram this:

"If you are marching through the city calling Dan a dictator, whilst representing less than 1% of the population of the state but asking a democratically elected official to step down because you're marching through the city that is in fact actual dictatorship behaviour."

Good take.
Moronic take actually. Right to peaceful protest is a part of any democracy worth its salt.

That's an interesting interpretation of what I've posted. Feel free to point me in the direction of where I have suggested the treatment of the Premier has been outrageous. I think you will find that I haven't mentioned the Premier once until now on this thread. I guess truth or facts might be a bit difficult for someone like you to work with. By the way, your use of quotation marks is completely incorrect. If you are brave enough to put your big boy pants on and head into the big, scary indoctrinating schools, you might be able to learn something new, something accurate.

Do you agree or disagree with the following:

Right to peaceful protest is a part of any democracy worth its salt.
If I was forced to answer I’d say I disagree. Though I don’t think it can really be black and white and if I may, I’d like to expand.

It purely comes down to the current time we live in. I can’t say protesting whether peaceful or otherwise should be part of any democracy because I truly believe there are a very small number of circumstances that mean it shouldn’t be allowed.

Pandemics such as the one we’re in are one of those circumstances.

Apologies.
On behalf of all hard working teachers I will self flagellate for my error.
No need to apologise for learning.

Also, all the hard working teachers out there would probably prefer that you don't whip yourself on their behalf, but rather refrain from insulting their profession.

Love to meet a hard working teacher. That would be interesting.
