I have just been watching back some highlights (as you have to) and the spoil from Sid when he left his man and flung himself at the contest to spoil in the last quarter will live in my memory

I went to check his stats
only 5 disposals but at 100% DE
7 tackles
11 1% - Wood and Talia had 9 - the next best was Richards with 6

Welcome back Sid :D:D:D:D:D:D

I'll be interested to see how he goes this week. Could well end up on Roo if Talia goes to Bruce, would be a great test for him.

Bad luck Lucas Webb...deserved a RS Nomination. Gave it to a guy that played bruise free football on a fast track against an opposition that was very, very ordinary.

Webb played against a Top 4 side in an unenviable position across half back to look after guys like Goodes and Parker in the driving rain in what was only his 3rd game. Plenty of time I know. Thought his game was outstanding.

DW think we can pencil another 2 RS nominations for this season. Both Webb and Boyd will get one bank on it!!

B Murphy kept out of the team of the week by Houli and Yeo who were named on the half back flanks.

Can anyone explain how or why? Who is picking these teams every week? Other than Picken who was BOG, Murphy was the other most influential players on that ground. He was tagged and still managed to lead from the front.

Bit of an eyebrow raiser there. To have the football world praising him for his leadership and skills then not making the team was quite bizarre.

staggering , but who cares ?

He would be on track for AA at the end of season so really who cares!

I know it's not a big issue, but for players, supporters and sponsors its about acknowledgment. I know Murphy wont care, but I bet Picken has a bounce in his step for being noticed.
I dare say Picken might get player of the round today which will make it two dogs in a row!

Hmmm, I'm feeling a little unwell, or I have to head out of office to do something or other, or maybe I left the oven on, or a gang of militant squirrels is holding my house hostage....

Watching the last quarter again:
11 point lead with one to go...

18:41 left, Swans kick a goal, we are 5 points up. The boys are out on their feet and the captain is hurt, surely we can't hold on....

15:16 left, 3 points up. The Swans are peppering, it's all in one half. It's only a matter of time now....

13:34 left, 3 points up. Swans go deep, surely Buddy will mark this. But Sid!! Sid comes from nowhere to put on the most improbable of spoils! Lots of errors now, looking too tired, down for the count....

10:58 left, down by 4. Two minutes of desperate tackles, smothers, red, white & blue jumpers diving in desperation everywhere. All for no avail as the inevitable happens, the Swans kick a point and goal and are in front. It's been a brave effort....

10:16 left, down by 4. Still all Swans. Long kick into 50 to a mismatch, this could be it, it could be all over. But JJ somehow manages to spoil the much bigger Goodes! We're still alive but we're barely breathing....

8:34 left, down by 4. Swans quickly rebound. It's Micky T against Buddy. Buddy loves these situations. Talia kicks it backwards along the ground but not too far! Gets his instep on it again to keep Buddy away from the ball! The courage is inspiring, but it looks like a bridge too far....

7:05 left, down by 4. The ball is starting to appear in our 50, but not threatening. The Swans have been in this position a million times, they are the best at these situations. I can't believe our boys are still competing, they are completely shot....

6:00 left, down by 4. Murphy, amazingly light on his feet gets around a couple of Swans, puts on his jets and goes long....

5:47 left, up by 2. Amazing!! How??! Ball comes in long goes to ground. Dahl somehow manages to get a kick away that looks to be going straight through for a goal! But it bounced up instead of on....

5:47 left, up by 2. Wood goes to shepherd the ball through but it bounces up! He leaps in the air higher than Ralph Macchio in the karate kid! Goal!!! We couldn't could we...

3:19 left, up by 3. Jong is in absolute agony. Goes to tackle but the pain is immense, but he goes third man up to get the tap to the boundary....

1:36: left, up by 4. Franklin has it with Stringer coming at him. Buddy thinks he can brush him easily but no! Not Jakey boy!! Jakey tackles him with everything which forces a spill to one of our players. I am starting to believe....

0:47 left, up by 4. The ball goes into the middle, Pyke marks! No touched, Pyke doesn't hear but JJ does and tackles! Hrovat kicks long and it's out of bounds deep in our 50. In would be an injustice to lose from here....

0:12 left, up by 4. The ball goes long into the Swans 50. It's a race! Wood gets back and has two Swans on him straight away! He gets a handball out to JJ who gets one to Boyd. Siren!!! How??! They were spent!! Dogs Win!!!

0:00 left, win by 4. The scenes across the SCG are amazing, scenes we have seen very few times before. Players are exhausted and hugging in joy, their faces showing a million emotions at once that describe what was one of the all time great wins. A young group of men that play without fear with a few wise heads that have seen too much pain are all as one, along with every staff member at the club, and every single Bulldogs supporter!

I've played that one handed pick up in the wet under pressure plenty of times...just amazing...

One of the best games Wood has played for us. Plenty of belief in the playing group.

Turns out Lin was playing with a broken hand at the end there... and he still went for the third man up punch! Gutsy plus.

The smother/touched ball to save the game with 50 seconds to go summed up Lin Jong. He may have touched it with his left hand, but his right hand was 100% outstretched too. That's what he's willing to do. That's Lin Jong everyone.

I'm only three days late...I was close? :p
It's never too late :p Except for tonight. 1200 word essay due tomorrow (easy) with 12 references (fmd).

Soon. That stupid wall climbing race has haunted my dreams and I must conquer it.
