matera is old enough for the gold coast this year.
duncan struggled to have an impact in a very weak east perth side, had a good run out and disposed of the ball impressively, especially under pressure. total class when using the ball but didnt have the players around him to look as good as he usually does.

Matera and Didak have an identical kicking action and their ability to play as a small forward and win plenty of ball through midfield is very similar. They both sit at of packs and this is in both players games.

Would think the GC will be looking to pick Matera up this year. Not through the draft though. They have said they need small players and midfielders. Would think he would be a good pick. Along with hoping to draft Swallow and Darling the next year.

thats assuming matera makes himself available to go to the gold coast... he doesnt have to and i dont think he wants to either.

that would be assuming he goes in the first 10 and gold coast is lucky enough to grab
its down to who rates him and how much. i personally think he will run the risk and try to stay in wa.

Yea I have heard the same Johnny he has already knocked them back.

Wants to stay in WA and hopes West Coast pick him up.

Would also like to play for Essendon but still prfers to stay in WA.

So many players are going to deny the GC of going their, its not funny.

I reckon it would be a good place to go. Also shows a bit of character about yourself by not counting your chips that your good enough to get picked up. When an AFL club offers a spot on your list you dont turn it down unless you know your top 5-10 material.

I cant see whats wrong with the GC, sure its a move away from home but its a new beginning and the GC sounds so good, plenty of entertainment and enjoyment and would live in your own world.

de boer is probably a great example for anyone looking to reject an offer. he was touted as a first round pick both years he couldve been eligible but not nominating obviously caused a furore among the recruiting staff! i dont think any from wa except matera would have the confidence to reject an offer.

2 twin brothers have recently been playing well in the colts and could seriouslt get a look into being added to the squad.
Ryan(#5) and Morgan (#6) Prott of subiaco are both speedsters both being able to run sub 11.10 for 100m aswell as great endurance both going 10.40 for 3km time trial. Hard in and under players with silky skills and incredible athletics ability. Grandad played VFL for collingwood and both boys played every league game in esperance last year and showed they can handle the bigger bodies. Morgan got best on ground in grand final and ryan was a livewire forward. Morgan also has captained subi a few times this year.

Both boys workrates are unquestionable and they have extreme commitment. Good stats in the early games and could go close to getting a call up. Keep an eye out for these boys

Played a few years of junior footy with Jordan McAllister of Claremont who recently was added to the 18s squad. Really works hard and is strong and fit. Heard has he played on top forwards for the other teams and has shut them down. Can play FB OR CHB even push up to a back flank. Played a year of senior footy in esperance with Gibson in the league team and really handled the bigger bodies well. A real one percent player who is linked to a sort of Dustin Fletcher like player and i hope he goes well in the 18s carnival.

Also agree with what wafootypsa said about Nat Fyfe, should be in real consideration to be added to the squad.
