Thats what they were doing....... ackalnds is worse and thats y he has been absent from the last few sessions..... you will find most players get surdery right after the season or wait until the christmas break to see if they can heal by them selves

So that could explain Ackland's horrid displays at training in recent times.

Big ask for Kreuzer as they said he will be the Blues #1 ruckman. The kids got alot of talent and potential but do you think he could hold down the #1 ruck job? He will stuggle if they make him do it and thats why i think Cam Cloke should take the job as its less pressure on Kreuzer aswell.

Hopefully it isn't a re-occurrence of his midseason shoulder injury. He has been in the injury group a few times during the preseason, has he not? Could they have been trying to manage it, and get it done over the Christmas break?

On the news it said that Walks declined CFC's advice to have shoulder surgery in the last few rounds of the season...

At this point, you'd expect that Hampson and Cloke are both ahead of him, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Aisake get a debut early in the season. Whilst I think Kreuzer will play a few games this season, I certainly hope he isn't put under too much pressure.

I agree. If you have ever played sport and suffered any injury you would never wish such a thing on any sportsman/woman let alone a player who pulls on the jumper of your own team.
Ackland is no Harry Madden but last year when we had little options he was still giving it a go

Isn't this Walker's second surgery on his shoulder? I'm pretty sure it is.

Let's hope he can sort it out. Last thing we need is for guys like him on our list to start having continuous/repetitive injury problems.

who is "they"?

and as someone has alreayd said, Hampson, Cloke and Aisake will all probably be in the ruck before Kreuzer. IMO Kreuzer next year will play about 10 games, most used as a forward, just having short stints in the ruck, the objective to be to give him a bit of a taste of AFL footy and give him a nice easy entry into the game

I think he is referring to the Channel 7 news who said "And now No.1 draft pick Matthew Kreuzer, will step up to the No.1 ruckman position" or words to that effect.

:confused: Why do people keep forgetting or ignoring Aisake? I think by this time next year everyone will be saying " boy can this bloke play and where have Carlton been hiding him!". I think he is just about ready to explode.:):thumbsu:
