The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

'Armed actors'

On 17 December, UNRWA West Bank office became aware of the presence of Palestinian armed actors in its Health Centre in Jenin Camp, in the northern West Bank. According to reports received, this presence is ongoing. Due to the security situation in the camp, UNRWA has been unable to access the Jenin Camp Health Centre and does not presently have control over the facility and its use.

Just a wild guess that it's PIJ and / or Hamas holding the camp hostage.

I'm glad Israel did a self investigation to allow this.
This is why we have to hold off claiming Israel is committing war crimes. We just don't know until Israel formally investigates. A 13yo Palestinian girl is a dangerous existential, oft genocidal, threat to Israel, as is a 3yo Palestinian girl. I'm satisfied justice has been served and we can focus on the equivalent genocidal actions of people holding signs and saying nasty things.

Sounds like a repercussion of Israel’s ban more than anything else.

Sweden's decision was in response to the Israeli ban, as it will make channelling aid via the agency more difficult, the country's aid minister, Benjamin Dousa, said.

Dousa said Sweden "in no way" supported Israel's law and had repeatedly expressed its criticism.

Sweden are also planning on lifting aid to Gaza substantially

Sweden plans to lift its overall humanitarian aid to Gaza next year to 800 million Swedish crowns ($72.44 million) from 451 million spent this year, the foreign ministry said.

Human Rights Watch's 185-page report detailing Israel's acts of extermination and genocide in Gaza. It's got pictures and everything.

Medicins Sand Frontieres confirming their observations are consistent with genocide.

Yet, Jillian Segal wants to hobble protests, demonise burning of Israeli flags and is an associate to funding of illegal settlements. How the hell did Albo fumble that appointment so badly? Was it even his choice to make?

What did you think she might do?

She's probably lobbying to label MWM an antisemitic hate speech group!

Jillian Segal’s many hats: Special Envoy for Antisemitism and Israel lobbyist extraordinaire

During a softball SBS interview two weeks ago, Australia’s Special Envoy To Combat Antisemitism, Jillian Segal, called for an end to the “intimidatory” weekly Palestine protests in city centres.

Taxpayers are footing the bill for the Special Envoy’s advice that our government introduce laws targeting the mass-protests against Israel’s war machine.

But Segal wears many different hats at the same time. As a past president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ), she is aligned to those who are now lobbying the government to crack down on protesters.

Meanwhile, as the longstanding chair of Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC), perhaps second to the Business Council of Australia as this country’s most prestigious big business lobby, she remains cozy with Israeli bosses and weapons contractors who profit from Israel’s forever war.

This is a good summary.

On the other hand, the appointment should save money.

Protests have cost taxpayers $15m on the bottom and $30m on the top already. In Victoria alone, $5.5m.

Not sure why this one doesn't seem to work, link to post

Is a brief summary of stuff from this article

An investigation by The New York Times found that Israel severely weakened its system of safeguards meant to protect civilians; adopted flawed methods to find targets and assess the risk of civilian casualties; routinely failed to conduct post-strike reviews of civilian harm or punish officers for wrongdoing; and ignored warnings from within its own ranks and from senior U.S. military officials about these failings.

Doesn't sound great. Full article should be readable if you use the above link.
