Current WAR CRIMES Israel - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

Can we check the numbers, what percent of the ~ 30,000 UNRWA staff is 9?

I’ll even let you use the lesser ~ 13,000 UNRWA staff in Gaza.

UNRWA staff and resources were involved in mass murder, mass extermination of Israeli civilians.

This is a fact that isnt changed by your posy and your attempts to play it down.

This organisation receives Australian taxpayer funding. Gaza receives large amounts of aid from Australia. The government of Gaza is charged with mass murder sexual violence as a.war crime, mass extermination.

If one wants to protest honestly it should be done against firstly Palestine (Hamas) as the instigators of this war and all other actors (Iran, Houthis, Hezbollah, Israel).

Israeli government staff and military resources were and are involved in mass murder, and the ongoing mass starvation of Palestinian civilians. 🙂

So the head of government has an ICC arrest warrant for the crime against humanity of starvation against the entire population of Gaza, which is ongoing to this day, using the national military to enact it.

Not sure that’s a compelling argument.

This is the crime board, do you really think Israel doesn't have a defence for this particular allegation?

I don't think the argument for mass starvation against the entire population of Gaza is going to hold up, if it looks like siege in pockets or areas.

Once more, the posts you choose to argue against and respond to are notable.

Some posters automatically conclude Israel guilt before an investigation has been completed.

Australia was the first country to vote for the UN partition 1947 and recognising Israel's nationhood in 1949.

We're now partnered in national defence and cyber security. Israel also invests nearly four times the amount in Australia than Australia invests in Israel.

There's better ways than completing severing ties and trying to destroy the state.

Australia is a significant financial donor to Palestine and has always supported a two state solution even when Israel has not. Supported the creation of a Palestinian state in 1947 (which was refused by Arab states).

But let's not let facts get in the way of our posters who like to ramble on about Jewish lobbies supposed controlling everything.

I’m sure we all have our reasons Kurve. Even the most hateful of posters here have their reasons.

That doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to ignore international law, nor allow allies to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity with impunity.

All the more reason to support the end of the war and steps towards peace.

However if you were actually serious about what you posted here you'd be loudly protesting against the genocidal Iran coalition driving this war.

Instead you shrug your shoulders and ignore their violations of international law, war crimes, crimes against humanity with impunity.

I’m sure you’re all for due process for Hamas, or the Houthis, or Iran, to be fully and properly investigated before concluding their guilt in any illegal acts.

So predictable 😂

Hamas live streamed their rampage. There is no doubt what they've done and they're proud of it. It's available online but I guess you probably prefer to not want to see it.

They even celebrated the murder of an 83 year old holocaust survivor

As for Iran aren't subject to ICC investigation unfortunately.

Plenty of documentation for Israeli war crimes, thus why there’s ICC arrest warrants out against their leadership, who use the national military to enact those war crimes and crimes against humanity.

I've seen plenty of IDF war crimes, they are proud of them, very happy to revel publicly in their utter dehumanisation of Palestinians.

You realise you haven't posted what you're referring to, right? You've posted a sarcastic tweet, pointlessly. Where's the celebration?

A bit back, I've said that Netanyahu and Gallant should be handed over.

No, there aren't better ways. Israel gives zero effs when Australia voices "concern". The only thing they would care about, understand and respond to is cutting business and government ties until they pull out of all illegally occupied land, give Palestinians statehood including part of Jerusalem, and make appropriate reparations. Australia should have nothing to do with them until then. BDS.

Predictably opposed to war crimes and crimes against humanity by all parties? Yes.

War crimes by Palestinians against Palestinian civilians barely rates a mention from yourself. As do war crimes committed by Iran & proxies. Entirely predictable pattern from yourself.

This matches Iran & proxy rhetoric almost exactly.

Australia is not going to cut ties with a nation under genocidal attack nor should it. That would be seen as support for Iran, Hamas & co.

A post war mandate for Israel to agree peace within a specified time period (2 years for example) resulting in Australia severing all ties with Israel & Palestine should Israel fail to achieve peace with Palestine would be more appropriate.
