• regularly played clips from Brett Duncanson’s resignation press conference replete with crying baby sound effects;

and to the point,

• revelled in Leon Cameron leaving us at the altar, “they’re gonna end up with Hinkley! Hinkley!”.

he’s no more prescient or knowledgeable than one of the smoothbrained deadsh¡ts who serves as grime under the toilet seat of Bay 13 — he threw everything at the wall and something eventually stuck.

June 2015 after a demoralising loss at home to an ordinary Geelong outfit was when the first “I’ve lost my faith in Ken Hinkley” thread started.

We got to Part 3 of that thread before 2019 when we got thrashed by Hawthorn down in Tassie, that’s when it turned into a full blown Sack Hinkley thread.

Darren literally presented Warren's name to the Board as a personal recommendation to succeed him when he resigned from the Board in 2022. His support has been there a lot longer than any public election campaign.

That's what I thought - but I listened to his interview and he definitely said he didn't care which candidate was successful as he thought they were both good. DC is not endorsing WGT above Bruce Abernathy.

Someone can chime in and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty certain the Cahill and Abernethy families are reasonably close. So they're staying out of anything publicly but privately they've voiced support for Warren.

Hell, there’s still a handful of holdouts within these walls. Clinging to the same hollow contrarianism they had the gall to serve up in the aftermath of the 2017 Elim, 2021 Prelim and now 2023 straight sets.

At what point do they concede?

Or is 15 years of this, 20 years of this, really preferable to renewal and change?
