What can you say, a terrible team got a terrible team all out for under 100 and watching the Stars bat in recent games you would have to say they are only slight favourites from here.

The dumbest attempted single I've seen in a long time, hit it directly to an infielder and despite a poor throw, Redmayne was still a foot outside the crease.

if they merged them, maybe they would only be half useless
There have been a few people on here suggesting a merger of the two Melbourne clubs for a few years now, it's not going to happen, but we can dream. It's a shame the best players from both teams are either injured or taking a break, but the quality of the remaining lists is pretty poor, and even the quality of the internationals is not the elite players that you see at the Scorchers or Sixers. Kaur would have made a huge difference to the Renegades.

It would be an interesting exercise, who would you keep from both clubs. Excluding the internationals and the injured/resting players, I'd select:

Stars - Faltum, Sutherland and Flintoff.
Renegades - Molineaux, Leeson, Webb and Dooley.

That's seven players. :( From both teams. That is incredibly poor. And embarrassing.
