It would be an interesting exercise, who would you keep from both clubs. Excluding the internationals and the injured/resting players, I'd select:

Stars - Faltum, Sutherland and Flintoff.
Renegades - Molineaux, Leeson, Webb and Dooley.

That's seven players. :( From both teams. That is incredibly poor. And embarrassing.
Garth?

Amazing innings from Flintoff helps the Stars to a very competitive score of 5/186.

Schutt, Brown and Wellington were unusually expensive today, Brown going for 22 in the 19th and Shutt 19 in the final over.

EDIT: Flintoff's 50 was off 16 deliveries which is the fastest in WBBL history beating the previous record of 22 deliveries jointly held by Ashleigh Gardner, Sophie Devine and Lizelle Lee.

North Sydney Oval is in poor condition, looks like it was hit hard from the rain Sydney has received over the last couple of months.

It is bumpy and there are a lot of brown (dead?) patches and a heavy sand covering. A number of players have looked like dills due to poor bounces.

Some have also looked like dills because they have dropped easy catches, but that is another story.

It’s fine jeez. Better than the cow paddock at Blacktown. And poor bounces…old saying get your leg behind the ball, and you don’t look like a goose!

Have you watched the whole game? There was an instance during Flintoff's innings where the ball was rolling on the ground when it suddenly bounced half a metre over Barsby who did exactly as you said, there have also been a few instances where the ball hits a patch of sand and just stops. While the pitch looks as good as previous seasons, the outfield is not as good, I'd say it's no better than Blacktown.

Watched every ball as I’m at the ground. It’s fine. Give me a few bounces over a gosh awful pitch. It’s fine. Just need to get you body right behind the ball

Well, it looks poor on TV. Hopefully we get to see a big Magenta victory tonight. Maybe another 45 ball hundred from Ash.:D
