Lachie Hunter leads home Mitch Wallis and Bonts in the 2k time trial.....
Wasn't his tank rated well below average as a draftee. Impressive that he could turn his fitness around in a couple of years. Hopefully more midfield time and he could play that Cooney role. Lachie really does have underrated acceleration.
Think he has the agility to be really good in traffic. Great disposal too
His endurance was average, but he set a record for VO2 max. Has the potential to be an endurance freak and it looks like he's starting to capitalise on that potential.Wasn't his tank rated well below average as a draftee. That or all the other guys are really unfitHunter leading the time trial is big, in for a huge one I reckon

The first bucket of cold water, thanks for thatT

Well it truly is a new generations now, Hunter, Wallis and Bonts top 3, 3 years ago it would have been Cross and Boyd. Id love to see total standings and times, but i don't think they let that stuff out publicly.
Apparently he's just finished .Where'd Liam Jones finish in the time trial? I heard he is really working hard on his fitness this year and hoping to improve his tank for a big 2015 for the Dogs.
Ahh i see, would be interesting to see how the older more seasoned guys go, i assume Piken and Boyd would give the young guys a good run for their money. Its just the 1-4 year boys at this stage. What senior guys are left, are not back for a few weeks yet. We'll get a better idea then.
A few pics on the AFL site (I think most have already been posted here tho).

Wallis is looking huge.
Darcy Moore's stretch does not look good for his knee!

Just love how the AFL once again are pushing their Pro-Giants agenda making the photo of Treloar and Cameron with the tag line "First Day back and these two couldn't be happier" as the first photo you see. Cant wait till both of them are in other colours next season (couldn't give one shite who) as long as its not that stupid orange and charcoal colour.
Doesn't give a stuff is a bit harsh......they have a burning desire to not have an AFL teamThe anti-spin caption would have read...
"First Day back and these two couldn't be happier....as they prepare for another season of weekly beltings, playing for a soulless team before empty home crowds and in a region which doesn't give a stuff about AFL."
