Lets hope he gets to the game on time.

Will be nice to see how Lycett goes.

Well so much for resting people. We have gone in fairly strong. Freo are quite strong too. Only really missing Barlow and Mundy.

Freo are missing more than us - though a number of those are long term injuries.

They are missing Broughton, McPharlin and Grover as well

In terms of resting - they are preliminary squads - we may drop 3 off that list.

Huh?

Disappointed to see no Stevens, but it's a pretty strong side none the less.

There's obviously 2 names missing from that list accoring to this article

1 of them must be Brennan - so Stevens still a chance

Scott Lycett, Jacob Brennan and Jack Darling have all been included in the 29-man squad to tackle the Dockers at Fremantle Oval at 11am, joining No.4 selection Andrew Gaff who played in last week’s NAB Cup semi-final loss to Collingwood.

De Boer still out.

Broughton's played all games so he'd be resting.

Concerned about Mundy and McPharlin...Mundy 0 games and McPharlin's only played a half...

You guys have had a rough pre-season - do you think it's viable going into rd 1 with all of Hill, Mundy, McPharlin, Grover, Fyfe, Ballantyne, De Boer in the side?

Stevens must be injured, putting in a poor effort at training or being disciplined

Apparently he was 90 seconds late to a gym session earlier in the week. Admittedly he got held up while rescuing a baby from a burning building on his way into Subi but the precedent has already been set, no excuses:D

McPharlin maybe doubtful, but Grover has played a bit.
Fyfe looked great on the weekend.
Ballantyne looked very rusty last week, but he got to all the right spots.

De Boer can't be far away, as he's pounding the track hard.

Mundy is a real worry.
He's barely got out of first gear at the training sessions I was at.

Hill was amping the running up over the last week or two so he should be fine

WC Missing from potential best 22 for Rd 1
Naitanui
Brown
Butler
Sheppard
Glass

Plus Kerr from best 22 for 2011

Freo Missing from potential best 22 for Rd 1

DeBoer
Broughton

Plus Ibbotson and Barlow from best 22 for 2011

Have excluded Hayden and Mora - as I don't think they'll play this year

Lach might be able to correct me - but that's reasonably similar in relative strength.

I guess I meant in entireity - taking 6 or 7 underdone blokes into rd 1 could be disaster.
