We killed the Saints in contested possesions..They had more polish.

i think we should give cotchin a go against the cats, if he is a top player he would thrive on the oppurtunity to play against the reigning premiers so give him a go and see what he can do

The only stats that count are the number of games won.
There is no measure of "quality" of possessions. How many bad kicks in the game? Hand passes that should have been long kicks? Pretend acts of desperation when they should have just grabbed the ball and cleared it to another player? If we "killed the Saints in contested possesions" then we must have stuffed up in a major way elsewhere!
Why do players look to hand pass the ball straight after they mark it (like a conditioned response) regardless of the situation (A long kick would cover the distance of 3 hand pass posessions!)?
We lose because we are to busy telling ourselves how good we must be because we -only- lose by a few points. Lets win the games by big margins and let the results speak for themselves. If the players don't have the motivation to do that then they aren't like the "Tigers of old". Motivate yourselves guys!
