The doom and gloom is killing me. This season has been brutal, not what we expected, but we have to adapt and embrace the rebuild. We are at absolute ground zero. Next year might be brutal too but at least we'll have some kids running around that we can enjoy watching their progression.

I was upset after the game but after cooling, let's talk about some positives.

Seth Campbell and Steely Green. Persist. Showing much more than we could have ever expected this early. Seth has so many more arrows in the quiver than we could have expected. Might become a serious player. Shame about Steely's injury but he's shown us he can be a piece going forward. I truly believe if Lambert stays on as forward coach, he can make be a massive influence on them.

Broad has put together some massive defensive performances over the last few weeks. A very underrated footballer and continues to get the job done.

Banks and Hugo are putting in work on the wings. I've been a big advocate on Hugo's season but Banks is building as well.

Koschitzke has been playing well. He looked timid early in the season and it was killing me but he is now flying for the ball around the ground and marking strongly. Not sure if I like him helping out in the ruck but he is only playing the role he's been given due to circumstance. Put him next to Lynch and I reckon we might start seeing a good key forward. Still only 24, and maybe not the answer but he will play some good football for us in the future.

Nank, our skipper. Runaway Jack Dyer medalist for me. His second half was a bit disappointing, but his first was excellent. Has grown into a great leader of our great football club. Great battle with Xerri, two absolute brutes.

Campbell was good.

Broad has found some form, hopefully still has a couple of decent years left as it looked like the cliff was coming.

Miller has lost form. Beaten by Larkey once but ended up with 5. Seems to be getting caught way up the ground with his opponent free and no one covering.

Hopper is not the player we traded for.

Brown is getting to ok spots but his second efforts are deplorable. Sometimes his first efforts are equally as bad.

We have NFI what we’re doing without the ball.

Our forward entries were already noticeably better under Lambert. Stats wise it didn’t translate (only 8 marks I50) but we had a lot of almost moments and the connection generally looked improved. I would rather see us fail to execute kicking to a lead than watch Sicily/Aliir/Ridley/whoever float across and take 17 intercept marks while Kozi is spread eagle on the ground 15m from goal.

Our inability to cover for skill errors might be the area that needs most improvement. Any time we **** up it’s a certain goal.

That Banks kick was hot.

It just has to be out: Short in: Smith this week. I don’t give a shit about metres gained.

The season can’t end soon enough really. Tired young blokes and some checked out old blokes. Let’s get rid of anyone who doesn’t want to be here, get full value for them, hit the draft and next year we can at least hopefully watch a few kids that look like taking us forward.

Crunch time coming up for Hartley and Toce.

Says who? I don’t want them posting here. They are only wanting to stick the boots in. They wouldn’t bother if they had lost.
Last time I checked it doesn’t say no oppo fans lol.

B And F will be interesting.
I still think Vlaustin will win it, shudder to think what our season would be like without him.
As if it isnt bad enough now lol.
Hugo probably top 5, doubt any of us would ever think that might be possible.

Rioli or Floss should be top 2 JD. I'd love Floss to get it.

Some of Nanks games have been pathetic especially early this year.

Well perhaps it should say it! It’s our Autopsy thread, not theirs. I’m sure we’d get a nice welcome if we went on say, Carlton’s board and said ‘I know you’re hurting but…’

They only come in to gloat and I don’t want to have to read it.

Last game against gold coast will be pretty special with the last games for our club by a number of premiership champions.

This year is not too different from 2016
It's a lot different. In 2016 most of our soon to be premiership players were already there. We added Nank, Caddy and Prestia, brought in new assistants, and brought in Neil Balme.

How many of our next group of premiership players are running around now?

That’s a harsh call
It's not. He's the softest player on our list and his supposedly great kicking is atrocious. If there's a hint of a one on one contest he either squibs it, or falls over. How he has not been dropped at any time before now is disgraceful. And it's not just this year either.

We would improve immediately without him.

You forgot to critique your mate Short Steps who cost us 5 goals.

Agree it's them rubbing the salt in the wounds and they're not needed in our autopsy thread.

Great crowd for two bottom teams.
Great to see the Tiger Army come out.
THE BIG ONE! :innocent:

Blues,Pies fans bandwagonism. :p

Onto the Saints granny.

Hopefully we treat it as such also.
Don't really want a wooden spoon but the AFL did put in alot of rules after studying us.

I got binned IMG_7667.jpeg last night and celebrated hard. Met a Saints supporter and we both bonded over the last 5 minutes of the Carlton Pies game. Got home after 3am. That’s how you celebrate a spoon, sorry winning the number one draft pick. Kiss Thiss was actually terrific. Here’s me after 1am. I don’t remember sending this photo to my wife. But i did. And i woke her up. For some reason she was mad about that.
Peter Criss could play CHB.

Just watched Yze presser looks like he has no answers, just spinning on the spot

sometimes when you get the big gig you find out you are just not up to it.

Poor efforts poor execution from players who have been playing and training for years means that they are not committed to the coach, he just cannot motivate these men to take that extra step.

Spoonyze sounded and looked like a dead man walking during his presser and if there is any truth in Balme did not think he was the right man for the coaching job I am bemused they would have gone against his advice.

3 matches to go our best hope is a few 100 point blow out loses and that will force the dilapidated board to make the right call and replace the coach so we can reboot for 2025.

.
this...a team/club is a 100% reflection of their coach,no 2 ways about it,its fact in sport, when i played i remember if i was 100% in belief of the coach i played above the capabilities, when i was half arsed it was bc that coach was unable to elevate or inspire me,sometimes it would only take the observation that one of the coaches pets who was playing S**t n still being selected for me to drop the bottom lip, this is fact in every football club....the coach is the barometer and on top of that i'll give an example of when i was 19/20 playing A grade seniors,i was uncomfortable with the then playing coach 26/27 bumping onto my group of friends n i in clubs from time to time n joining in socialising with us,im of the Leigh Matthews model of coaching, your their coach not their faaarken friends

in saying all that we gotta give the guy anutha 40 games i rkn to prove himself, redeem himself

You're hurting, I know, just let it out. But what happened to Steely Dan, he was looking okay?
The last ten years have not been kind for you ... but I haven't been on your board once trying to make your miserable existence this decade any worse for you ... popping your head up here now reminded me of the adage ... don't let your foot of their throat ... so in this spirit here is my reply

You are a pathetic minnow club whose existence has an end date ... for over 30 years now the AFL has actively sabotaged your desperate attempts to find additional supporters and revenue ... not because there is a vendetta but just because you are irrelevant

Firstly, your merger with Fitzroy would have brought the support and the bounty offered by the AFL in cash and a merged list ... instead delivering three premierships to Brisbane

Secondly, how stupid do you have to be to not position yourself to be the team on the Gold Coast with unlimited funding that came with it ... The Bloods supporters were smart to see being based in Sydney was better than not existing at all.

Finally ... what the faaark are you going to do when Tasmanian Devils arrive and there is no Government money and Hobart support ... move to Darwin?

The Kangaroos are like dead men walking ... it isn't a matter of whether you will survive ... it is really just when the lights get turned out
