Incidentally, thev renovated the oval. Have they renovated the folk ? You hear some strange stories of unfriendliness
You may banter with freedom, as long as it is given in good humour and you can take it as well as give it. We're a traditional suburban footy club supporter base.
Good luck to your guys. Like the way you go about it and I would prefer to play you at full strength. Unfortunately you probably have too many experienced stars out and I expect Port to win, but respect your club, your systems and your coach. See you in finals at your best.

As an Adelaide resident, I've found the Port fans, over time, to be much friendlier than their crows counterparts.

I wouldn't take my kids to a crows game. I would to a Port game.
I heard that Darren Jarman had his car vandalised at the ground once because it still had the Vic plates on!

Close. It was Tony Hall's & it was during his first game as a crow.

Only last year if I came on this board and even suggested I had a chance of winning (injuries or not)..........

We would have liked to play your full team so our young team can play these sort of games. It would have been great to see Rioli in full flight. We play a similar game to Geelong actually due to the Hinkley influence. You guys had always beat us by not giving up possession and not giving us enough space when we do get the ball. Interesting to see how we have progressed and that is why we are so pragmatic about our chances.

At work on Monday, I received an e-mail from a pessimistic Hawks fan, who basically said the visitors have no chance of winning this game. I don't buy it for one moment - OK, you've got several stars out, but those who are coming in are still damn fine players, and apart from them there's plenty of class in the brown and gold all over the ground. I'm expecting this to be one of the games of the season: it's just a shame it's still 69 hours away!!!

you guys are dreaming when u talk about Crows supporters..that whole car scratching incident happened in like 1991 when that sa v vic hatred shit was going on.

Crows supporters are very sensible. They support there team but are defiantly not trouble makers etc etc...no crows supporter has ever said a word to me at a game. A lot of Crows supporters are old people and families.

Port suporters are much louder, passionate and mouthy. I respect them for it. They are more akin to Pies supporters.

It was 1994.

Crows supporters ARE troublemakers. There are plenty on these boards who have had a really bad experience with crows supporters. If no crows supporter has had a crack at you, you are lucky.

I repeat. I would take my kids to a Port match. I would fear for their safety at a crows match.

Had a brutal time at Port Hawks in 2001. Both games were rough.

The game we got smashed by Adelaide by 95...they were fine

I have only been to AO once as I live interstate, but would be very surprised if any Hawks supporters have a negative experience on Saturday night. Junior will get booed and the crowd will be incredibly loud, but civil towards Hawks fans I am sure.

I'll hold you to that.

I might wear my hawks polo all day and I'll keep a diary of all the abuse I cop ;)

Must admit im loving Port Adelaides attitude and style of play under Kenny Hinkley. Met him a few times back when he was playing for the cats and working for a Ford delaership. Came across as really down to earth and very laid back. From my meetings with him back then I didnt think he had the mongrel to become a head coach but obviously I was wrong. I friggin hate in this order Sydney, the scum, Geelong and Feo and will "spew up" if either wins the flag this year. If injuries get the better of us I will be cheering on Port adelaide all the way....
