(S32) Round 6
sfa-s32-weather-report-png.1218016

Good morning, Sweet! It's Weather Time!

It doesn't matter if Warm, Fine, Cloudy, Rainy, or Muddy. Here, the weather is always good!

Weather Girl R6.gif

We bring you info on S32R06, and it has been plentiful.

Last weekend, matches have happened in Beldribilin (Dragons-Bears), Old Town (Roys-Bombers), Mount Buller (Demons-Furies), Punt (Phoenix-Royals), Rasasidge (Wonders-Swamprats), and Docklands (Warriors-Gumbies).

The image below shows a mass of hot air holding its own against a cold front coming from the West. So, while it was sunny in the North, the Southern suburbs of Sweet have experienced clouds, rain, and even mud!

S32 Weather R6 Map.jpg

Hence, those who attended the matches in Old Town (BJO), Punt (Eyrie), and Dragon's Island (Lair), they could enjoy a great Warm afternoon qooty.

The game at Docklands (VCP) were played before the storm, when the sky was still Cloudy. People in Rasasidge (Colosseum) weren't as lucky, although qooty in Rainy conditions can be fun. Speaking of fun, the strong rain left the conditions in Mount Buller (Dome) really Muddy. The first game on the mud this season!

Still, in the Mountains, the home side took advantage of the conditions. In the second half, the Furies tried to mount a comeback, but ultimately falling short of it. They had no answer to Hate, who dominated the ruck against Tigerturbulance, and Proper Gander, who kicked 5 goals. The match ended 68-56 in favor of the Demons.

(S32) Round 7
sfa-s32-weather-report-png.1218016

Good morning, Sweet! And after some delay, we are finally back with the Weather Report!

Catching up, we bring you how was the day for Round 7. I hope the presentation can be worth of the wait!

Weather Girl R7.gif

That weekend, there were matches in Beldribilin (Dragons-Demons), Punt (Furies-Warriors), Rasasidge (Wonders-Phoenix), Gumbania (Gumbies-Bombers), Nou Camp (Bears-Swamprats), and Golden Valley (Royals-Roys).

As you can see below, a mass of hot air on the North of Sweet has managed to split a cold front coming from the Northwest. So, while the Warm weather continued to be the norm in most of the city, there was rain in the West, while clouds covered a bit of the Northeast.

S32 Weather R7 Map.jpg

Hence, from the Western shores (Colosseum) to the Dragon's Island (Lair) in the far east, and in Punt (hyppodrome) and in the Valley (Throne) in the North, people could watch qooty in a great Warm afternoon.

In Gumbania (House), the match went on under perfect Cloudy conditions. The Los Carraras derby, however, was played under Rainy conditions in Nou Camp (Sky).

If the Bears captain MWPP could have asked the Sim to play in their weather of choice, she would probably have requested rain. The ursine club is used to it. After all, they play in the rooftop. Their rodent neighbours, whose home is in the basemant, aren't much into change of conditions. The match showed it.

The hosts got the bragging rights over their local rivals for this season with a dominant performance from bounce to siren, scoring 14 goals to the Rats' 6. Final score: LVB 89-49 SCS.

(S32) Round 8
sfa-s32-weather-report-png.1218016

Good morning, Sweet! We are back with more S32 Weather Report!

Today, we know you won't miss it for nothing!

Weather Girl R8.gif

It's Round 8 with matches in Abu Ghraib (Bombers-Royals), Gumbania (Gumbies-Phoenix), Nou Camp (Swamprats-Furies), Mt. Buller (Demons-Bears), Old Town (Roys-Dragons), and Docklands (Warriors-Wonders).

This week we have experienced a rare phenomenon, with two fronts meeting on the very heart of Sweet. A mass of hot air from the Southwest clashed with a cold front coming from the Southeast, which brought heavy rain over most of our city; especially the center and the north.

S32 Weather R8 Map.jpg

Three matches occured under Rainy conditions for the first time this season. They all happen in the northernmost grounds who were hosting games this week, from east (House) to west (Dome) and in-between (Junction). The southernmost grounds either experienced a Warm afternoon, in the East (Underground) and in the Center (Park) or were covered by a Cloudy weather (Prison).

In the only match with good weather, the Royals took full advantage of the cozy temperatures at Abdu Prison, instead of the usual desert heat. They jumped ahead in the first frame and never looked back. Kilroy and Jabba73 tried to lift the hosts up, but with no avail.

Smartys Power, GreyCrow, and the The Filth Wizard were unstoppable; and the rest of the team also contributed for the sound victory. The final score showed it: BOM 92-140 GCR.

See you all in the next Weather Report!

(S32) Round 9
sfa-s32-weather-report-png.1218016

Good morning, Sweet! And here is your S32 Weather Report!

Still, remember, regardless of what happens out there, the heat is inside all of us!

Weather Girl R9.gif

[awkward silence]

Ahn... Er... (cough)... Where were we? Oh, yes, Round 9!

This round saw matches in Old Town (Roys-Demons), Golden Valley (Royals-Gumbies), Abu Ghraib (Bombers-Wonders), Nou Camp (Swamprats-Furies; Bears-Warriors), and Punt (Furies-Phoenix).

The rain continues to fall over Sweet. This time, it was a mass of cold air coming from the Western Mountains that sent the Warm weather onto the ocean which has brought more rain to our city.

S32 Weather R9 Map.jpg

The only Warm match happened in Los Carraras (Underground), because the Rats decided to close the ceiling, but didn't turn the AC on. In the Southeast (Prison) and in the North (Throne), the matches went on Cloudy weather, because luckly they were scheduled for before the storm.

And what a storm! O
nce again, three matches occured under Rainy conditions. The rain covered most of the map, falling hard over the West (Sky), Downtown (Juction), and the East (hyppodrome).

Abu Ghraib saw the third game under clouds this season, which made the Baghdali faithful a bit worried before the match. It's not as if the Bombers can't play on Cloudy weather. They beat the Gumbies away in R7: 117-88. There were doubts whether they can do it at home.

The Bombers had lost the previous two Cloudy home games by 141 points combined: 185-92, v. DEM (R5); and 92-140, v. GCR (R10). Their only win at home had been in their preferred Warm conditions (an 1-point victory over LVB, in R1). So, there were doubts on how the hosts would handle the cozy temperatures at the Prison.

Truth be told, they didn't handle it well at all. The Wonders imposed them their worst loss this season. It was 15' into Q2 when the vistors scored enough points to win the game. The Wonders won every quarter (+42, +3, +53, +6) in their way to a massive 104-point victory. The final score was: BOM 76-180 WON.

Antonio BlueVein, Tony Lynn 15, KohPhi, and iDon couldn't do nothing right all day; while Kangaroos4eva, Loonerty, haydo, and PVF did the most damage for the winning side. For the hosts, only Here2tellyouwhy, HaroLad, and RobR can hold their heads high.

Here, the full list of R9 matches and their weather:

(S32) Round 10
sfa-s32-weather-report-png.1218016

Good morning, Sweet! This is another episode of your S32 Weather Report!

tumblr_nlgvtwUHhK1un6spio2_250.gifv

It's so good to be back, isn't it? Now, with Round 10!

This round saw matches in Docklands (Warriors-Royals), Punt (Phoenix-Bombers), Mt. Buller (Demons-Wonders), Nou Camp (Swamprats-Gumbies; Bears-Roys), and Beldribilin (Dragons-Furies).

For the first time since Round 4, we had no games under rain. Hot air coming from the Northeast has cleared the skies and brought warmth back to Sweet. There were clouds only in the Southeastern suburbs.

S32 Weather R10 Map.jpg

Warm-weather matches happened in the Northernmost venues from the mountains in the West (Dome) to the islands in the East (Eyrie, Lair). There were Cloudy conditions for those games in Los Carraras (Sky, Underground) and in the Southern shores (Park).

We really thought in highlighting the Bombers' loss away to the Phoenix [144-85!], which didn't happen in Cloudy weather. As you know, it was warm in Punt this week. However, we don't want to talk about Baghdad three weeks in a row.

The match of the round has clearly been played in Docklands, between Warriors and Royals. The lead changed hands FIFTEEN times throughout the game; five, in the last quarter alone. The last one happened with fewer than 30 second to play, giving the visitors the minimum margin necessary to win.

The Filth Wizard scored the last goal and was the game top-scorer, but Blacky is probably the match's unsung hero, holding BEEG to only 1 goal. For the hosts, TheInjuryFactory and Snuffaluphagus were probably the most harmed by the heart-breaking goal at the end.

The final score was CIW 17.10:112 - GCR 17.11:113.

Final Round Extra Report
sfa-s32-weather-report-png.1218016

Hello, Sweet.

We will return soon with everything that happened between Rounds 11 and 15. Before that, however, we have some announcements to make.

I.
First, as you can see, it has been hot in Romania.

its_always_sunny_with_these_weather_girls_around_14.gif

We are telling you this because it is also hot in Sweet. At least, that's how I am feeling. Was there a sudden hot air arriving or something?

II.
Did you know that is not only in Australia that things are upside down? In my homestate, too! Gabriella Bordasch will show you.

I hope you haven't let anything fall down while watching it!

III.
In Round 15, the Gumbies became the first club to play in all 5 weathers in qooty.

IV.
Of the remaining clubs, there are two that can no longer achieve that: Phoenix and Swamprats.

V.
Finally, considering the 9 clubs that can still play in all 5 weathers, only the Bombers have already played in both Muddy and Fine conditions – having the best odds to join the Gumbies. The question is: can it rain in Abu Ghraib?

Here, these are the clubs and the weather they miss:

(SFA) Weather - Still to Play.PNG

Stay tuned, Sweet. We soon will back with more!

(S32) Round 11
sfa-s32-weather-report-png.1218016

Hello, Sweet! The S32 Weather Report is back for the final 6 rounds of the seasons, plus Finals!

In Round 11, the rain returned.

Weather Girl (round to be decided) 2.gif

This round saw matches in Abu Ghraib (Bombers-Warriors), Gumbania (Gumbies-Demons), Punt (Phoenix-Roys; Furies-Bears), Golden Valley (Royals-Swamprats), and Rasasidge (Wonders-Dragons).

Two opposite cold fronts were blocked by a stationary mass of hot air over the Center and Eastern parts of Sweet. There was rain in both the Northern and Southern suburbs, and it was specially heavy in the South.

S32 Weather R11 Map.jpg

There were warm-weather matches only in Punt (hippodrome, Eyrie), while rain fell on the Southwest (Colosseum) and on the North (Throne). The desert soon turned onto a muddy fest in the Southeast (Prison). The match in the Northwest (House) barely escaped the bad weather, being played in great Cloudy conditions.

This week, Sweet was astonished before the best 1HO, 1K, 2H for 8 DT points match in Qooty history. GremioPower faced three different Royals and beat all of them:

  • Neither having much reason to brag, GremioPower was slightly more polished than GreyCrow. - 0m from 0 to 0.
  • Neither having much reason to brag, GremioPower was slightly more polished than grumbleguts. - 7m from 3 to 10.
  • Neither having much reason to brag, GremioPower had the better of CakeEater. - 1m from 77 to 78.

The Royals started better at home, while the Rats struggled to adjust to the rain. However, after trailing at QT by 31 points, philreich asked for his teammates to follow GP's example, and they responded. The Swampies wouldn't do practically anything wrong from then on, winning every quarter. In their way to victory, they even hold the hosts goalless in Q2.

When the final siren sounded, the score was GCR 9.7:61 - SCS 13.11:89.

Hello, Sweet! We´re back with more S32 Weather Report!

Qooty season is getting warmer and warmer!

Weather Girl (round to be decided).gif

[I was supposed to say something... Where was I? Oh, right!]

This round saw matches in Mt. Buller (Demons-Warriors), Nou Camp (Bears-Bombers), Punt (Furies-Royals), Rasasidge (Wonders-Gumbies), Beldribilin (Dragons-Phoenix), and Rhilpisa (Roys-Swamprats).

The fine weather that most of Sweet enjoyed during the week wouldn't last much. The hot weather in the South also came to an end. All because of cold front coming from the North, bringing cloud and rain to the Jewel of Hindealla. At least, no match was affected by the storm. In Rhilpisa, where the Roys have host the Swamprats, the weather was good as well.

S32 Weather R12 Map.jpg

The Sky was beautiful in Nou Camp, where the only match under Fine conditions went on. In the North (Dome, Throne, hyppodrome), all three matches avoided the rain, being plaied under clouds. In the South (Colosseum) and in the East (Lair), temperatures were still high by the time of the first bounce - both games happening in Warm oweather.

Bears and Bombers played an insane match on Los Carraras rooftop oval. They've decided to let the defenses enjoy the mall and go shopping. Neither was seen at all during the match. Both teams combined for 60 scoring shots (44 goals). The hosts, however, after kicking 9 goals in Q1, could only manage 10 for the remainder of the game.

Meanwhile, the Bombers wouldn't stop flying over and dropping six after six at the other end of the field. Their forward line combined for 18 of their 25 goals, and those were most even distributed. Baghdad's top scorers were: Metalcrusher, 4; Jabba73, 4; Bovo, 3; HaroLad, 3; and CursingFijian, 3.

The visitors won: LVB 19.8:122 - BOM 25.8:158.
