Wide open title race this season, no one really impressing at this stage.

Man Utd - Why Kagawa was on the bench when Rooney was out was a bit perplexing - they have zero creativity without those two. Traditionally their wide players have been excellent however Young is $hit, Valencia is $hit and Nani has barely played in the last 1.5 years

Man City - Plenty of quality on paper, still need more time to judge their new signings, they have also looked fairly average so far.

Chel$ea - Will be interesting to see how Eto'o works out for them. Stacked in MF. ST position a worry if Eto'o doesn't work out. Can't fathom Mata's lack of playing time...but I guess we're talking about Mou - back to boring football for Chel$ea.

Arsenal - Big injury concerns at the moment, most worrying if Giroud goes down. MF is stacked now with Ozil, very good wide options with Cazorla and Walcott. Concern at RB - don't think Jenkinson is good enough ATM and Scz still has big question marks.

Just scored and played a great game.
how many games have you seen him play? type reactionary post to a small samples size.
he's technically inept, an incredibly dumb footballer and he's greedy. he's no more useful than Jordan 'how the **** is he still getting a game?' Henderson.

Honestly depends who you are comparing them to?

Henderson would fit into all but the Top 5 midfields in the premier league. He clearly isn't shit. Having said that, no he isn't a title winning midfielder.

This. If you look at the midfields of the other top 6 sides and look at their 4th/5th options (which at the end of the day is what he is for us) it's pretty clear that he stacks up very well against the likes of Anderson, Cleverley, Mikel, Van Ginkel, Holtby, Capoue, Garcia, Rodwell etc.

Has played a huge role for us in a run of form which has seen us take more points in the league than United since January. He isn't a traditionally skillful midfielder who will perform stepovers and dance around defenders like Silva or Mata (which I can only assume is what some people are expecting of him if they look at his form and actually watch him play, and still come to the conclusion that he is shit), but he is an extremely effective player who consistently performs his role for us and importantly has now started contributing goals (amongst other midfielders he had the 4th highest goals + assists per minute ratio in the league last season, behind Mata, Coutinho and Lampard). Long term once we secure that top quality left winger/attacking midfielder allowing Coutinho to move to #10, Henderson probably won't be in our starting XI, but he's proven over the last 10-11 months that he'll be an extremely useful player to have in the squad for the foreseeable future.

Henderson is by far the weak link in the Liverpool midfield, and wouldnt make the best XI of any of the top sides.

Superior to the likes of Rodwell, Cleverley and Mikel all of whom feature regularly for top 5 teams. Every team needs a player who isn't spectacular but keeps things ticking over. Very happy that he is playing for us personally.

He doesnt keep things ticking over, the other midfielders do. I had a look at the stats last night during the game, I think there were only three or four that got less of the ball than him. For a midfielder he consistently doesnt get enough of the ball, and he doesnt do enough with it when he gets it.

He's got a good engine and he works hard. But he's just not up to scratch. [edit] At this point in his career [/edit]

FWIW I'd have Rodwell over him every day of the week. And he doesnt merit a start for us week in week out. Cleverley isnt in Uniteds best XI and is the equal of Henderson at least. Mikel isnt in Chelseas best XI either.

Henderson is becoming the new Lucas as far as Liverpool fans are concerned. Overhype an average footballer and convince yourselves (because no one else is buying the bullshit) that he can play and is some sort of football machine on the verge of happening. Won't be long before Henderson gets injured and like with Lucas Liverpool fans will build him up to sub-human levels of importance only to be brought back down to earth when he actually plays again.
And who the **** compared Henderson to Mikel? Totally different roles but in Henderson's position Mikel would be more effective. Henderson hasn't impressed at Liverpool at all and if their fans want to convince themselves otherwise then **** me, no wonder all other fans laugh at your levels of delusion.

Moses is not shit. Please stop exaggerating.
Depends on the context of shit. For a player who has now played for Liverpool and Chelsea and been brought in as a player with 'promise' he'll always be underwhelming and he'll always fail. Hence the term shit. Not comparing him to a-league footballers, or even players from Crystal Palace. All about the context of shit.

btw still waiting for the chelsea fans to criticise mourinho for more shit management on the weekend.
take off the dangerous looking and busy mata after 54 - bring on oscar - who proceeds to play terribly - not the sort of game that suited a player like oscar.
dominating in midfield and.... bring on lampard. after that everton had more of the play, more of the ball and looked more threatening.
good going jose. if rafa sneezed the wrong way chelsea fans wanted to **** him every which way.

how's napoli going btw people? anyone?

Why do you care so much?

Apollo is right Henderson is just being used for now, won't be at liverpool next season if we sneak into the top 4 unless he improves dramatically... still a decent option to have to come off the bench from time to time
